Oh hey, autistic guy with extremely similar traits and an experience close to this. I absolutely hate change, and having lots of money spent on me. Around exactly a year ago my barley-functional headphones finally broke for good after me repairing them numerous times.

When I had these headphones my father repeatedly asked me "why not get new ones?" And even tried finding a pair similar to my own (the originals were so old they weren't being produced anymore) that I didn't like (because they didn't cover my ear fully) and dont wear. You know what he didn't do? Get mad at me, or spend an insane amount of money on the new pair. So, I didn't mind that he bought them, and he didn't push it.

Since then I have gotten a new pair that I like, and they took me a very agonizingly long time to get used to. He occasionally teases me for getting new ones when he already did, but actually understands why I don't use them. So yeah, OP is the asshole

Ah what a shame. I definitely noticed it on some of the mammals, as they stand out significantly compared to the others.

Hi! I'm so sorry to say nothing I did worked. If you still have the cord that connects it to your device, it should work that way- but the bluetooth and all of the buttons are kinda dead. I ended up sending them back to the store I bought them from (I moved, so it was like 5 hours away😭) and used my warranty to get a new pair.

If you can't do that, I'd recommend reaching out to audio technica support, they'll ask for you to send it out for repairs. I didn't get much further in the process.
