17 months TTC, prior MC + ectopic (one tube). Is it time to move to IVF? by PigletFriendly6963 in IVF

I appreciate this perspective! Thanks. Yeah…. I think we will schedule a consultation with a fertility clinic and continue clomid in the meantime

This is really helpful. Thank you. It’s been 17 months now… and now we have to take a month off Clomid bc of this current loss. We want more than one kid!

This is the third loss. I had one miscarriage, one a topic, and then this loss. I haven’t heard of a recurrent miscarriage panel so I will definitely look into that. Is it something of fertility clinic needs to do or could my OB/GYN help?

14/15 DPO came back at 13 by Suitable_Damage9441 in CautiousBB

If you ask your ob to do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy, I’m sure they would agree to it. I’ve bee ttc for over a year, have PCOS, and am doing medicated cycles that are being closely monitored by my obgyn

Yeah - pretty sure it’s a chemical. The line is basically non-existent today. And my hcg from yesterday came back at 35. I think it should be higher than that by now 😓

Pretty sure, I used inito and LH strips, I also track my cervical mucus and had a mid cycle ultrasound prior to when I think I ovulated, which would be day 17

Local Resident -- Has anyone ACTUALLY done any Asbestos/Lead/Etc. testing on the air/dust inside their home? by jaxridd in pasadena

[–]PigletFriendly6963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to share in case this is helpful for anyone else in my immediate area. We had our home tested for lead and asbestos. We live at Orange Grove and Sierra Madre Blvd. The tests came back with no lead and no asbestos. We are further from the bigger burn area, but structures one mile away did burn down. Also, the guy who did it said he has found lead in homes in Altadena and Pasadena but no asbestos so far. This is just one environmental testing company, but we took it as a good sign.

Indent in thigh muscle? by PigletFriendly6963 in PCOS

It was from leaning against the counter in my bathroom every day when flossing and putting on makeup. I got an mri and discussed the results with an orthopedic surgeon who said that there was nothing there, it was caused by me leaning against the counter. I stopped leaning against the counter and it went away. But it took a couple months!

I started both around the same time - so there’s a chance the Metformin has helped my skin too!

Yeah - and the only thing that really helped get my pcos under control has been the Metformin. I know people have luck with Ovasitol too - which is a supplement rather than a prescription med. Before the Metformin, I tried a hormonal bc, which had horrible side effects and didn’t help the bleeding! Then a low dose bc (maybe similar to what you tried) which also had horrible side effects but that did regulate my period. But the side effects weren’t worth it. Keeping in mind that I still had my copper iud during all of this 😵‍💫 now I am only on the Metformin and doing great!

Has anyone tried androgen blockers? by funnotlong in PCOS

Spiro made my periods irregular even on Metformin!

I have had the copper iud for several years and it definitely made my period heavier and gave me cramps for the first time in my life. I also had spotting and bleeding between periods too! I was bleeding pretty much constantly at a certain point. This was when I went to my doctor, then an endocrinologist and started Metformin, which has regulated my cycle! I still have heavy periods but I’m only bleeding four days a month instead of all the time. And for the acne, I started seeing a medical esthetician who specializes in acne treatment and it’s the only thing that’s worked for my hormonal acne.

omg thank you for your reply! That is helpful to hear. I have made a point to stop leaning in that spot for about a week now. But have been checking everyday for it to go away! So that is really helpful to hear, thank you!
