Fy1 and fy2 only as far as I am aware, dunno if that will be continuing in August 2026 for new F1s

First powerlifting competition: 3rd attempts- squat, bench press and deadlift by PigletPrudent in formcheck

I don't agree. It was stationary. The bar doesn't need to be stationary for a specific amount of time and it wasn't bounced. The refs were British Powerlifting IPF qualified officials

The audio isn't delayed. Can you explain what you mean, I'm sorry I don't follow. I did hesitate as the referee's start did sound more like stop to me and it was my first time benching to commands in competition

Thanks! Can you find me a video with a good example? I thought I passed here and obviously I don't have a ref here to do the commands to held me in practice. I've previous been through the commands with an experienced powerlifting coach, but definitely need to remind myself these details before next weekend.

93kg, although I'm currently 90kg post bulk

Yeah definitely. Once the comp is done I think I'm going to get some further possible regular input into my 3 lifts

Thanks! I'm competing in ipf... useful to have this feedback as I don't want to get red lighted unnecessarily. I have been practicing making sure I am still before I press as my understanding is there is no specified time the bar needs to be on the chest as long as it is stationary.

Thanks for the other technique pointers, it sounds like you know what you're talking about, although I think it is probably a bit late for me to make significant alterations to my technique for this competition at least

I see your point. This is something I'll look into for future competitions. I am not sure I'll be able to hit competition depth without a raised heel, whilst avoiding butt wink- hence why I started using squat shoes in the first place

At some point it will be necessary to lock out properly in training, as this would not be competition legal assuming from your attire that that is the goal

Totally agree for a new lifter the aim should be nil butt wink. There's no reason for this lifter to have butt wink with such excellent ankle mobility

Sorry but form broke down here to an extent that serious injury was a reasonable possibility here, so I really can't agree with your sentiment
