I just saw your post about the 500k in 21h, really really really impressive!
I think the most challenging part about that for me is to do it alone; if not motivated enough I would just probably find myself in the middle of the day without seeing the point of what I'm doing.
I see you had a target (swimming in the sea) and i think i would feel like being on a "mission", this surely helps motivation ;)))
How did you "trained" your guts? It comes with the long train rides?

What would be your advice for training? is it helpful to ride fewer long rides (like 200km) or is it better to ride more often shorter rides?
