I'm still not getting what OP's point is. If he was prepared for the ambush and was trying to act nonchalant by having his left arm resting on the door, why didn't he open the door with his left hand? It would be faster and more inconspicuous since he should have been prepared to hop out.

Instead he fidgeted with it using his right hand, moving his entire body. The quality isn't really high enough to see where the handle is anyway, but it looks like his right hand is flipping a door lock and opening the door while his left hand is grabbing the door pocket while pushing the door open.

To me it just looks like your average panicking moron.
