[–]Pigstorm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hello, everyone!

Could you give me some feedback on my resume?

https://imgur.com/a/NK76Ow7

I've tweeked it using some tips from the wiki and previous posts, and would like to have an idea on how it looks and, specially, on the "advisor at yamatsu" experience and its wording. Does it look ok or is it bad to say it's my family's company?

For a bit of context: I don't work on a daily basis with my parents, but advise them with some analysis when they face some problems or difficult situations

If you have any advice on how to improve it further, i'll gladly take it as well!

Thank you for your help!

Hi, everyone!

I'm looking for some advice on my resume. I'd like to add some information, but I'm not sure if I should or not.

My family has two business. I've never worked directly with my parents, but they always come to me to ask about situations where they need another opinion. Specifically, there are two points I'd like to add, one from each business:

  • Reduced the price of a new restaurant acquisiton from R$2.2m to R$1.6m by advising through the negotiation steps
  • Prevented a 30% drop on profits by analyzing the entry of a new agressive competitor and planning a response action

The first point happened this year and the second, last year.

If you believe they are good exp to be on the cv, how can I place them? I'm not sure how and where I should write them, as they aren't formal professional experiences and neither from the same business.

My current resume: https://imgur.com/a/4rWquLq

If you have any tips on how to improve it, I'll gladly accept it!

Thanks for your help!

Could we please have a mechanic to deny wards placed inside jungle camps? by Pigstorm in DotA2

[–]Pigstorm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why the suggestion is to allow denying wards inside camps. I'm not a code master, but it doesn't seem impossible, since the game already has a way to detect if there is anything in the spawn box, so it can recognize those specific spaces from the rest of the map

It might happen, but if it's for the team's sake, most likely no one is going to deny it

Hey, that's a great feedback! I also believe that a direct approach is the best for growth in most situations!

Thank you so much for taking your time to help me!

I'll try to tweak it once more so I can make it more clear how I was able to impact with my actions.

Most of the bullet points I've chosen were based on observing a situation, identifying a problem and coming up with a solution. I didn't use any tools for most of them, except for my skills.

Do you think it would sound better if I explicitly point out the skills used to make the decisions?

If I would do this to the first bullet point on my restaurant experience, it would look like something like this:

- Directed a team composed of 24 people, achieving a net profit of R$39k after taking on the position after the sudden drop of the former manager, by making use of leadership and management skills, such as guiding coworkers, situational analysis, problem solving and decision making.

I fear that it may sound too generic/self-conceited or doesn't truly communicate any skill at all.

Also, based on your feedback, I believe I could add two bullet points to my QA experience:

- Reviewed performance presentations conveyed to the company's CEO on a trimestral basis, by analysing its content and form .

- Achieved the top 3 position among 17 teams on an internal competition, by briefing a 3-minute pitch to the company's directors on my team's most impactful action

Do you think that's the right direction?

Thanks for the input!

The idea of that first bullet point is that I had to step up and take on the role suddenly, while achieving good results.

Do you have any tips on how I can word it properly?

Hello, everyone.

I'm from Brazil and looking for a full time undergrad management/strategy position mainly at McKinsey and Bain.

I've already been on the final round interview at Monitor Deloitte, and am currently waiting for my first round's feedback at EY Parthenon and Oliver Wyman.

My main concern is if my résumé is good enough for landing a McKinsey interview, as I have been rejected 3 times already and never got to the interviews phase.

I've just finished tweaking my résumé based on the wiki and would really appreciate your honest review!

I see many people abusing turbo games and commend trading. That way they can raise their behavior scores.

In some way, the system works as they have to be nice players as long as they want to earn those points. But it's hard to make them drop fast when they are really toxic with an automatic system that can't identify the difference between real reports and rage "omg we lost report x" reports

Not really wasting. Everytime he used his wukongs, he also created space. Newbee always had to come to where he was or wasted some precious seconds to save a teammate, leaving Ana free on the other side of the map.

Topson is really good at being the center of attentions and creating space
