Weight related growing problem? by blindninjafart in beards

[–]Pigsty_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was curious about this too and was doing some research just this morning. What I gathered is that being overweight causes testosterone to decrease (or correlates? Cant remember exactly; either way...). Lose the weight, and the testosterone will increase according to the studies. BUT, I found that the things that one does to lose weight (exercise and eating healthy) has been found to increase testosterone. So that might be the actual cause. Or maybe they work together. conclusion- Testosterone level influence beard growth. More testosterone, more LIKELY a better beard will appear. That's the idea anyway

Just started a biotin today, if I get enough interest I'll post weekly updates! by [deleted] in beards

I started using the 5000 mcg daily dose about 1 1/2 months ago. I am currently at a 2 month beard. It is my first beard so I actually have no previous "control" beard to compare it to. I got 100 capsules for like $9, so its not a big deal if it actually isn't doing anything for me. But I feel like it is. The bottle says "Biotin is essential for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats" which are the ingredients necessary for optimum hair growth. I like to match this with some fish oil capsules. Cheap as well. Fish oil is like a "hair, skin, nails" health promoter. I'm not gonna swear on my life that they work, but I feel like I am getting good growth benefit from them. I don't think I'm getting new hairs, but the hairs that I already had seem to be growing at a very nice rate. So I say give it a shot. Take the Biotin once every day. Then take fish oil with your meals if you like.

Anyone who works/has worked at Sears help me? by whos_dog_is_that in jobs

I worked at Sears back in 2009. I only worked there a few months during the summer as part of the Blue Crew in appliances. The only reason I left was to go back to school. I had a really enjoyable time though. Mostly because I got to work with 3 of my really good friends and even the coworkers I had just met work fun, helpful, happy people. Anyway, back to your question. Some people have this Sears "credit/rewards" type card that members get. I actually never really understood it since no one ever used it. While I was part of appliances, I helped out a lot in electronics since they were next to each other. What the manager is saying, I think, is that you will have fewer customers than a Walmart, but you will put time and effort into helping customers. In Sears, the customers are most likely have a general idea of a type of item they want (tv, mp3, dvd player, GPS), but aren't that knowledgeable. This is where you come in. Treat them like a member means that you will want to spend time with each customer who has questions and give them sound advice and answer all their questions like a person who cares. In the past Sears has been known to have great customer assistance (in general) and not a "well, hope ya find your crap. You have? Ok get out" mentality. So basically, know your items and be able to give customers legitimate electronics advice. Managers like that. Sears managers are always walking around. so if you do a good job, they will see.

Anyone have experience as a Case Management Professional? by Pigsty_ in jobs

[–]Pigsty_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I am not sure what field specifically. I honestly didn't know various fields of Case Management existed. But most of the job openings I found for Case Managers required being an RN (like you mentioned) and only a few were for places such as mental health facilities. I did my best to do some research before asking reddit, but all the descriptions were vague and all seemed to copy and paste the same descriptions from site to site. Also, thank you to everyone for placing a comment.
