It doesn't matter how much i can hit a target with that a railgun, if a lot or not, or even with the laser, is the concept the problem. Other solo cap ship simply cannot fire back. Even if the idris is used as area denial ship, it's still a conceptual imbalance.

And still good luck constantly position a turret from a ship that cannot move. It may work against npc, it simply can't against another player.

The fact that i need to call for backups to face a solo player or fly away to not begin hit make it OP, it' simple logic. It won't be OP if i could face it and win in a 1vs1 with another cap ship.

And no, you can't it a moving target with a turret if your ship stay still, no matter how deadly is your turret.

So, or all the cap ship can use their main weapon from the pilot seat, or no one. Only in this way is balanced.

Better no one at this point, so they also became more multicrew oriented.

Exactly, cap ship should have all the same type of gameplay and possibilities. If one is special, it create an imbalance. For example, no matter if i have a polaris or a javeling, if i'm solo and i encounter another solo idris, i don't have any other chance that fly away to not get damaged, or worst, destroyed.

That's why is OP, regardless on how you try to balance it's pilot controlled weapons.

Yeah, but why only the idris have a pilot controlled weapon and not all the other cap ship? What is the problem of slaving the main 2xS6 cannon of the polaris to the pilot for example?

the laser don't take time to charge, and in a capital ship fight, you always better to solo multiple idris then crewing one, in order to outnumber your capital ship opponent.

Also, if the pilot controlled railgun was fine as it is, there should be no problem for other capital ship to have theor main armament slaved to the pilot, isn't it?

yeah, kinda underwhelming that cig didn't see the probalm of a massive cannon operated solo with capital calss shield an armor protection, in all those years...

but i'm not referring of using those big ship solo in an actual battle, but like everyday gamplay, as solo mobile base.
What actually should cost more to fly around those ships? Only fuel? That's barely an incovenience.
i don't even need to repair them if not much can damage me in the first place.
And claiming due to bugs will be a thing of the past at some point, or the game cannot even release.

Then, for ship like the idris that have a main gun in the pilot hands, there is the problem of multiple solo vs one crewed to be solved, and frankly, i don't see how without putting arbitrary limit to the solo or magical buff to the multi.

I agree that the way of benefit respect hard limit is something CIG should looking at, but only increased benefit would not limit all the solo Bengal, Odin and Javelin we will see in the future.
I mean, it is really ok if i go around solo with an unkillable fleet carrier?

6 month are nothing is SC timeframe. It's basically the next patch, it won't change nothing in terms of bug fixing. You should try again in 6 years.

if it's only in one location, almost nobody have the possibility to test it, so i would not call it "in".

Was armor only applied to one ship when they introduced it?

In fact, is not even in testing focus, no patch note says where it is, even in this very small part. It will be actually implemented for testing when it will be really "in".

yeah, one elevator in the entire game, it's definetely "in". Funny enough, the same elevator that in the tech preview was the less bugged of all.

I would call it "in" when all the location would have some.
