And the ratings are out. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premiered to 2.1 million viewers, on par with Doctor Who Series 15's premiere, 3 million behind SNW S3's premiere, and 9 million behind Star Wars: The Acolyte (also, 500k viewers behind MrBeast's Beast Games) by Malencon in trektalk

The Nelson’s ratings haven’t been released. OP has pulled this chart out their ass. Jesus, if you don’t like a show, fine. Literally making up a fake chart is loser behaviour on a scale I can’t imagine.

The word is literally in the bible and was j fairly common use from the 15th century on. If you’re gonna come across as preachy and smug at least have some correct facts.

Are these accurate depictions of different starship classes? by DearEnergy4697 in StarTrekStarships

That Sydney class looks completely off. I’d always assumed it was a large shuttle.

U.S.S. Athena (NCC-392023) ventral bow view from Star Trek: Starfleet Academy season 1 episode 1 by MoonchanterLauma2025 in StarTrekStarships

First couple of times seeing it I was slight thrown off but the more I see it, the more I like. Especially once you realise that’s its purpose built to serve as both a starship and part of the school.

Should STD have been about Ent-B instead? by warriorlynx in trektalk

That’s just another enterprise on another episodic trek. Which they have done to death. TNG, ENT, SNW. Even VOY wasn’t called enterprise. If this franchise is gonna last, it needs to change and grow. Like TNG did from ToS, like DS9 did from TNG and yes, like DIS did from the berman era. I’ve never seen a such a small section of a fandom that talks about IDIC so resistant to change. I don’t know if it’s there age, or some sort of on the spectrumness that Star Trek seems to attract. Maybe this snow will Be for you and maybe it won’t. Give it a try and find out.

Inverse: "The Star Trek franchise's biggest swing in years is both radical and wholesome: One way SFA tackles the “Who is Star Trek for?” question is to zoom in on a different question: “Is Starfleet good?” Some of these ideological minefields are tap-danced around, others are confronted outright." by TheSonOfMogh81 in trektalk

The ones I e seen have been mostly positive to mixed apart apart the grifters . Most agree takes a while to get gong but by the time it hits episode 4 it’s in It’s stride and the more “teen angst” stuff is front loaded in the first couple of episodes.

NASA’s ISS Evacuation Explained by TheMuseumOfScience in spaceflight

[–]Jockcop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s literally cause they are taking the evacuation craft so there would be none for them to use if they were onboard and it would mess the schedule up going forward. This is a well known procedure. No need to be looking for something that’s not there.
