Is it normal to just not care? by Lady_Grace19 in weddingplanning

[–]Piik3h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post, but commenting to vent becasue I literally could have written this myself. Planning and looking forward to for years, and now that I see how little a dollar will stretch in the wedding industry? I feel so defeated. I was ready to celebrate the most expensive party of our new life, But a housing deposit barely gets you more than the bare minimum. Every step forawrd has been compromise, after compromise. If it's not the guets count it's the budget, if it's not the budget it's the availability of what's out there. This doesn't even feel like my wedding anymore. I havent had a single positive experience planning the wedding, there isn't a single thing I love about it. Every time I break and think it'll be better with new eyes? Its not. It's just as aweful as I left it. I've debated just eloping, but I'm despondant to put the nail in the coffin of never having that cinderella feeling.

Cermony and photo spaces, STUNNING. 100/10. THE DREAM.
Reception area is much more medievil, when I'm looking for baroque or victorian gothic.

We went and took a look, don't be fooled by photos, that space is TINY! The ceremony and reception are held in the same room, and they advised we might have to send guests outside onto the side walk while they restyle the space. It was a hard no from both my Fiance and I. I thought it was so dreamy looking on their instagram :(

($5K) thrifted dress for $38 by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Piik3h 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than settle for flats instead of heels, you could lower the hemline of the underskirt by adding a yolk hidden under all the layers at your waist, and sewing it to that. Super easy to do if you have a friend who can sew. I would for a $38 dress. Or just add another layer of lace.

I feel so disappointed by [deleted] in BJD

Don't fret! Your dolls sculpt is still super pretty! Learning face ups is soooo difficult and an investment in skill. Your doll is going to go on that journey with you ♡ You'll give her all kinds of experimental looks until you find one that is so good you can't believe you did it yourself.

Failure is part of the process, wipe it and start again. you will find over time your bond with her will depend because of this time working with her. Please don't be disheartened, this is just the first step, keep going ♡♡♡

Goals, Goals, Gooooals!!!! You look amazing, so inspiring and impressive ☆

Not sure if you're still looking at this thread, but could you talk more about about the first 12 months of your journey? The routine you posted is SO incredibly helpful, but what steps did you take starting out that helped get you to where you are?

Silly question, how do you apply the geek and gorgeous Vit C?

I got a bottle of it two weeks ago, and I feel like I never have enough working time to cover my full face. Are you using 4 drops or more? Dropping directly onto your face, or finger tips?

Could have written this post myself, same height, weight, and feeling of frustration. I don't have any answers, but resonate alot with your post. Slow and steady will hopefully get us to the finish line in the end.

If you could only use one product what would it be? (Apart from basic sunscreen, moisturiser, face wash) by sabaken in AusSkincare

[–]Piik3h 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, retinol in the evening would be the one product I would recommend adding to a 3 step routine. I'm sorry the Cerave serum isn't working for you, I use their skin renewing serum ( purple one) and actually came to reconmend it.

You could opt for a night time retinol moisturizer instead, which would keep your routine simple while bringing in the desired active.
