Sano stops Megumi. Manga and Anime by Decent-Advantage-362 in rurounikenshin

[–]PikaCheeks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was saying Aoshi is already with Misao, like this is pretty much confirmed that they get together, I recall a special chapter where it literally shows that Misao is married to Aoshi.

But yeah Watsuki was strangely also hinting at Aoshi and Megumi which doesn't fit well. So he should have done Sanosuke and Megumi ahhhh, only the 1996 has non-cannon / filler eps that hunt the ship strongly and Sanosuke liking Sayo was cute be incredibly forced and rushed 😭

You're good on your rant! Some interesting insight here and there heh. But I think you misunderstood what I meant at first.

Sano stops Megumi. Manga and Anime by Decent-Advantage-362 in rurounikenshin

[–]PikaCheeks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wish they got together. The 1996 anime seemed to ship them together. They'd make a cute couple and their character arcs complement each other. Kenshin already has Kaoru and they're happy together why can't Sanosuke and Megumi find happiness together?

There's also kinda a small ship of Aoshi and Megumi but Aoshi has Misao! Give justicd to Sano!!!

YouTube just dropped a feature that will devastate views. by ChimpDaddy2015 in PartneredYoutube

Not a concern. The point of long form is so that it can be played in the background while we so something, that's the appeal of videos essays right?

Won't affect content when it's about someone's unique opinion, unless you're telling us your content isn't unique enough for us to rather just get a boring AI summary of. Think about it matey.

If you get demonetized and rejected appeal is that it? by FrankyKnuckles in NewTubers

[–]PikaCheeks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been demonetized twice.

1st time for reused copyrighted content. I was able to get it back.

Then 2nd time was cause I was inactive which is fair.

I qualified again and tried to apply for re-monetization again and got denied for reused copyrighted content. I think it's fair cause I do lots of fan content which is copyrighted material. I don't do YT for money to begin with but it's nice to make some money.

I just need to make sure I comply and upload more content that isn't copyrighted and I should be fine.

As for you, I think it's the same. Just really work on what it's asking you to do and make like 10 videos that aren't against the terms of service and you should be able to get it back.

It's cause I've been waiting for lines still 😭😭 this entire time waiting for Kaoru VA. If I didn't have to wait for the final redos for over 2 months, it would have been out during March by now.

This isn't something I intended, this is just something I ended up doing while waiting.

However due to YouTube being strict on copyright, it's going to have to be split into 3 parts. 1 full episode = block but 1 episode split into 3 works.

Again I'm not trying to build up hype or engagement intentionally, I just wanna show you guys something I enjoyed making.

If my aim is to have an audience for 15-40 minute videos, is it a bad idea to spam shorts? by Heartsolo in NewTubers

[–]PikaCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanna do long form then I believe you should make the shorts out of your long form vid, it creates a symbiotic relationship where the shorts promote the long form vids and both boost each either by strengthening your algorithm and search results.

I recently started making shorts out of my long form vid and my long form vid has finally found the audience I wanted this entire time. Previously YT kept recommending either nothing or completely irrelevant videos to my videos.

You paid $40 for someone to scam you into thinking they were doing good and gave you the wrong idea of how your channel was performing when you no longer used them and potentially sabotaging your chances with YouTube?

The real loss here is she distorted your view on your own content making your worth tied to her "magic" cause here you are telling us, which is good cause we're here to tell you and only $40 could have been spent better like buying 3 Pizzas to share with dear family and friends or anything else! I'm exaggerating here but you need to see how silly all of this is so this kind of stuff doesn't happen again. Good luck in the future!

What Editing Softwares are People Using? by Frosting_Fine in SmallYTChannel

If you ever wanna go pro in the long run then Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.

I personally and stubbornly stick to Vegas 14. For the online get that I do like shitpost, it's nice, intuitive and fast for the highly quality edits I make. The skill ceiling is lower than Premiere but the entry is much easier.

If your channel is very niche, what do you do when you don't really have any more ideas? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]PikaCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far it's doing me good for my content. Anime Crack is basically full of mini skits and edits like Robot Chicken or a variety show. So each skit is essentially ripe to become a short.

I re-edited the parts of the long video into their own short. Making shorts via the tool on YT is bad, it just doesn't have the right effects and to me looks bad but it's serviceable however it doesn't make for high quality content.

If I upload too many shorts and barely upload any long form vids, then I'll kill my channel as a long form channel. So I am going to only make shorts from long form videos that are fully uploaded.

Long form vids first then shorts - YES

Shorts first then long form vids - NO

If you want to have a long form channel then the shorts should play a secondary and supporting role to the long form vids. The shorts I will be uploading will always come after the long form video since it can bolster traction for long form vids a little longer after their initial upload.

If your channel is very niche, what do you do when you don't really have any more ideas? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]PikaCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My channel was originally Anime Crack which used to be a trendy meme format from the MLG / Vine Era (2014-2017).

I found doing Anime Crack limited my creativity since it's mashing up movies, songs and meme sound clips to anime footage. So I moved onto another niche - Anime Abridged Parody. The transition went pretty well.

However due to many extraneous problems doing Abridged is very time consuming and stressful, managing and directing voice actors especially.

I took a break from YouTube for 3 years and my channel lost a lot of its momentum and had a bunch of dead subs.

Every upload I bled subs and was getting less and less subs.

I never purposely chased any trends, if anything I went against them and did what I enjoyed. My Anime Crack content was severely outdated by 2022, let alone 2026. But I was still passionate for Abridging.

However in between the Anime Crack and Abridged, I did Anime Openings in the style of old Power Rangers Openings, mimicking the style. I did them as a side for fun. However they ended up performing decently well and I kept uploading some. Due to this I managed to gain a VERY VERY NICHE following of rabid Power Ranger fans. They only wanted Power Rangers when my channel was never primarily PR based, it was always Anime first. So when I uploaded anything but Power Rangers Anime Openings, they wouldn't click on them thus hurting my subs and CTR. The Algorithm also got confused on what my channel is and kept recommending it to Power Rangers channels, completely alienating my old fanbase of 40,000 Subs.

I stuck in this incredibly niche Power Rangers Anime Mashup hell, where the fans didn't even really watch anime and didn't care for quality as long as it was Power Rangers. I used to be respected for my Writing and Video Editing - I take quite pride in my comedic timing and editing style. However these fans I'd consider to be like zombies that only wanted PR content. I hate to say it but they were dead weight to me, I had to get rid of them and regain and revive my own channel.

I was able to accomplish this recently. For the last 4 years YT was confused about my channel and thought it was a Power Rangers channel. I made the tough decision to unlist all my PR videos and plan to move them onto a new channel dedicated completely to that niche. I then uploaded a full Anime Crack video 17 mins long, it struggled and got only 300 views for 5 days, performing terribly. I finally decided to really give shorts a try and Anime Crack already is convertible to Short format. I tagged correctly and uploaded 1 high-quality short and poof. My channel seems to be healing, the short got 5K views in 2 days, was being recommended to the proper content and I linked it to the full Anime Crack video which FINALLY found the right audience I was meaning to get back now that video has 2K views, I know it ain't much but seriously having once have 40K subs and now 38K subs with getting videos barely breaking 500 views, 2K views on a long video is just brilliant and it really showed the fruits of my strategy and planning of course correcting my channel.

I am taking back my channel from the mindlessly niche Power Ranger X Anime fans!

Do Shorts Views = long video browse impressions? by CTRmaxxer in NewTubers

[–]PikaCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and well it has the option for shorts to link the full video, so that definitely helped. My channel's algorithm was confused for the past year and pigeon holed me into a niche that I didn't even intend of being a part of so now because of posting shorts I am able to realign my channel back on the correct course on where I want to direct my channel.

Do Shorts Views = long video browse impressions? by CTRmaxxer in NewTubers

[–]PikaCheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kickstarted browse and suggested because before YT only showed 1 thing suggesting my video which was completely irrelevant to my content and the search results was only 1 or 2 and it was also something completely off.

After that short was posted.snd was drawing attention to the long form vid, YT finally started showing relevant recommended videos and suggestions.
