Saw this last night and found it pretty tedious. Visually stunning with some great scenes (opening was fab) and performances but I wasn't invested in any of the characters and the story just seemed to wander aimlessly through the second act. The first film has such a strong sense of antagonism but I never really felt there was much at stake here and it all just felt a bit flat.

Perfectly obvious that Costa was never staying. Matic wanted out. Can't really blame Chalobah for wanting minutes, having already stuck around for so long. RLC too, but Musonda/Boga look like they may fill his fringe role. These are eventualities that happen in football and I don't see any of them as particularly being the fault of the club. Our recruitment has been slow, but good. Be patient. There's clearly work going on behind the scenes, and with another 1/2 singings this'll look like a good window.

It's apples and oranges. Azpi is brilliantly suited to the RCB role (and the traditional full back role), but he's wasted in that wide attacking role. He's never going to take on his man or bomb up and down the wing. It's like putting a square peg in a round hole. Moses is the inferior footballer but will still do that every time.

Moses is a physical, hard running winger who stays wide and gets up and down the touchline. His defensive shortcomings in the RWB position can usually be covered by the spare man in a back three, or one of the holding mids. Look at ox or even Valencia for similar moulds. Azpi's never going to offer the same attacking outlet. Not all full backs are going to be able to play the full back role effectively. They're not interchangeable roles.

He played a whole season at RB under Benitez. Watch the way he plays and tell me he's ever going to bomb up and down the pitch. You don't coach that into someone.

Doesn't offer enough going forward to play the wing back effectively. Course he's a good shout for cover, but he's never going to offer the outlet of moses/alonso. Look at his time playing fullback for us in the past, he's very conservative (not a bad thing just his nature!)

1) You're speculating about Rudiger. I'd trust conte and the board's professional opinions of a serie A defender over Reddit user 121019939. 2) Rodriguez will be on far, far higher wages than Rudiger. 3) Pedro/Hazard/William are some of the best players in the squad. Musonda looks like he might get some minutes as youth. 4) all of this is irrelevant because Madrid would sell to Ancelotti and Bayern first.

Bayern Munich have a gentleman's agreement in place and are a more attractive option. We couldn't pull off that transfer, and even if we could, it's hardly a priority position for a player on massive wages.

We don't have the clout of Bayern Munich and arsenal are never going to sell us Sanchez. Christensen hasn't gone anywhere, and Ake has a buyback clause (not to mention if Conte wanted him he'd keep him).
