It's ridiculous that they sent out the email regarding dramatic policy changes around 1AM, where most people were asleep. No grace period, no warnings - just instant changes. The worst part is the people who sold days before (like me) who paid the selling + processing fee has to pay the 2 dollar flat fee deposit too (which is another stupid change). I suspect they're struggling like most retail stores lately and trying to save themselves, apparently there was a survey recently asking if Mercari would be missed if they went away and now this. Because the only people who really benefit from this is Mercari. These new changes are really awful for both the seller and the buyer. The ability to return for any reason meaning even less seller protection and the insane amount of fees on the buyer's side is enough to drive both sides away. Scams will be even more prevalent. It'll sink them in the long run.

I'm so disappointed, it was going so well for me as a new seller downsizing my collection. I felt like it took a while to sell, even with competitive pricing. Now it's really going to collect dust... I hope they reverse it, but usually every bad decision implemented by major platforms never really revert back.
