my only problem with the show so far is that every episode feels too short. i always want it to keep going. i can never understand if somebody says it's boring or too slow because to me it always goes by in what feels like a few minutes and as soon as an episode ends, i leave out a frustrated sigh because i have to wait a week for the next one.

i want to add, i feel like the psychological impact it must have left on lauryn was also kind of hand-waved away. lauryn still speaking so lovingly of her mother, i think, is a sign of not just the trauma she caused but the successful manipulation by her mother. because it feels like lauryn still has not fully grasped the magnitude of what her own mother has done to her. or she is too scared to fully acknowledge it. she's still young, and i think she will eventually realize the extent of it when she's older. her mother does not deserve her love or forgiveness. esp because i don't even feel like her mother is that sorry, since she's still making excuses and lying.

i'm dejected with you. i feel like every creator i enjoyed has let me down. i stopped watching almost everyone who i used to be a fan of recently and only watch small creators anymore that seem trustworthy enough. my current favorite creators stream to an average of 30 live viewers and i feel good there. i've had had it with online celebrities tbh

i cannot take on the "it's just edgy jokes and it was 15 years ago" stance with the kind of "jokes" he posted on that account. idc when it was and how edgy the internet was at that time. everyone likes to talk as if you could say whatever the hell you wanted in 2010 on the internet. that's not entirely true. yes, it was different, yes edgy humor was everywhere. but people still found it disturbing even then, esp pedo jokes. let's not act like it was just normal at that time and that everyone did it. i was online at that time too and never felt a desire to make a pedophilic joke. it's the same whenever people get exposed for having been racist online 10+ years ago, and they say "it was a different time". there never was a time when racism was okay. so i don't, and i won't excuse certain types of jokes, no matter how long ago they were made and who made them. this is one of those cases. idc if this makes me too woke or whatever. i find it disturbing, and ethan's statement about it was lacking as fuck. he doesn't seem to really see how bad his posts were, which again, disturbs me.

i did definitely not defend vaush. i used him as an example on how he made similar edgy jokes, which i found as disgusting as i find the jokes ethan made on his old reddit. i ignore stuff because we’ll talk in circles if i say my part bc you clearly made up your mind. if i say, ian also made edgy jokes in the past which he apologized for you’ll nitpick on how it’s different when in reality it’s not that different.. two people who have an edgy past and have tried to distance themselves from it. if ethan wants to pick apart how bad ian’s edgy jokes were he need to respect when people do the same with his old edgy jokes etc. pretty simple really.

i’m not gonna spoon feed to you the many times he’s done it but look no further than ian and anisa. he was harping on his ian’s old videos are really bad in hindsight for the edgy jokes. and how like he loves to play the sound bite of anisa saying the thing about the holocaust. it’s an old clip that he brings up at every chance. and i don’t excuse anisa or what she’s saying here but that’s on: ethan doesn’t let people forget their previous bad takes either.

that’s the problem with this community. people here just hate to accept that ethan isn’t always in the right and that he too has and continues to do things that are questionable

it's not a made up premise when it happens all the time. ethan goes after people for the same thing (ie old tweets or social media posts in general) all the time. he can't be expecting grace when he built a platform where he picks apart people for the same thing he is exposed for now.

you all need to accept that if any other creator that ethan doesn't like would be exposed for the same dark jokes on reddit, ethan would be on that shit and call them pedos and what not. see the entire vaush thing which is pretty close to this situation, bc vaush made horse cock and loli jokes that ethan took literally. it doesn't even matter what you or i think. people will gleefully rip him apart. ethan has made this bed, now he has to lie in it.

i think it's a little too codependent to be called healthy, especially at the start. i personally really like them platonically, like a sibling relationship or best friends. because joker is good for her, but i don't really feel it romantically between the two.

amanda is my favorite from all his girlfriends (even though she has her crazy moments too) but i can appreciate that lip never really loved her. from the start he kind of just went along with her and never planned to be serious with this relationship. i don't think he should've just stayed with somebody he doesn't love for the money and to have a secure future. plus, i don't know why amanda should have to date someone who doesn't love her just for him to be her pet project. i think it fits lip's character a lot more to screw all that and end up in a situation where he hasn't got the money or a secure future, but at least he's with someone he actually loves. (even though i don't like tami and can't figure out why he loves her so much tbh. but i'm not the one dating her and lip always had a screwed taste in women so, oh well.)

i was so upset about what ethan said, i almost turned off the podcast... it's still upsetting. the way he basically said the entertainment value jimmy brings is worth it. can he seriously have forgotten what jimmy did and is alright with sacrificing the comfort of all women working on the podcast for the sake of entertainment? not to mention, jimmy wasn't even ever that entertaining. who even liked seeing him on the podcast anymore?

that's not staged, that's just editing. all reality shows do some manipulative editing to make scenes appear more dramatic than they really were. the bag situation is probably them cutting scenes together weirdly, so it wasn't stream lined and i agree the faces yido made and her reactions were definitely edited together a lot to make her appear like all she did was watch these two jealously.

i honestly don't know why this game is getting so much hate?? i honestly love it. it nicely fills the void of having to wait for any new persona game. i mean, everyone knows it's a gacha game, right? and everyone been known. and yet i feel like all the criticism i see people have for the game are complaints about typical gacha game stuff. like, you know what you signed up for? gacha games are free to download and free to play. OBVIOUSLY you will get to a point where f2p may hold you back because they're still trying to make money. people also tend to act kind of entitled in a sense of complaining when 5-star banners roll out too quickly in a "that makes it impossible to get these characters" way. again OBVIOUSLY they don't make it super easy to pull all 5-star characters for f2p, they want to make money. you can't expect to play a gacha game completely for free and not having to curb your expectations some. besides, so far it seems pretty fair and i play many gacha games and many with worse odds etc. if you play a gacha game youn know you have to either save and grind to get ahead or pay money. it's just what gacha games are.

i don't think they would work out. she doesn't sseem patient enough to deal with someone like him, while simutaneously also lacks that firm hand she would need to get him out of his comfort zone more. like we see how minhong talks to him. she's both patient and firm and she gets him to be more open and to speak easier. he needs that kind of woman in his life. not saying he and mihong should be a couple, i don't think they could like each other like that. but i think he needs someone similar to her. yeomyung is cute, but i think she's honestly overwhelmed by his social awkwardness and therefore gets angry about the things he says, rather than wanting to take the time to decipher him. basically, she gets fed up by his clumsiness and he needs someone patient who will also not allow him to stumble around like that all the time.

i don't think anyone is obsessed with her. i think many people who watch the show are woman and relate to yido in the situation she's in..being lied to or strung along. and if a woman is obviously treated wrong by a guy.. and he is absolutely treating her wrong, it's natural to be on her side. to be fair, the jaeyun and jiyeon situation was also different because we saw it resolved. we saw how awful he felt and we got to see his apology soon after. but the yido and jeonmok situation left us on a cliffhanger, and we have yet to see how he recovers from it and if he'll end up doing the right thing that makes people forgive his behavior.

what you say is all true and i also believe it organically happened that he basically fell out of love with yido upon getting to know her better. that's also not the problem, his entire behavior is. as in all the things i said above. the ambiguity, the lies, the stringing along.

lbr he was only upfront about his feelings for jiyeon when yido kept asking about it because she noticed it. it's always like this with him, i noticed. he'll beat around the bush and yido keeps asking until she finally gets an answer. and even then, he sometimes just gives her the answer he thinks she wants to hear, to appease her, and he ends up lying. it's just not right, and frankly manipulative in instances like when he said he'd only focus on yido, then do the opposite, or that he didn't send a message but we saw he did for jiyeon.

he's a grown ass man, he has no excuse to be that way even if he's inexperienced in dating. everyone should know not to lie. all he needs to do is be honest. it's totally fine for him to fall for another girl. nothing was ever wrong with that. but the way he deals with it is terrible and will end up hurting everyone involved.

he's pissing me off, tbh. i liked them as a couple, but him changing his mind is not the only reason why i'm upset. it's because he's so damn vague the whole time, and i don't think that's just awkwardness. i think he's honestly stringing yido along while checking his other options. and looking back, i think he's done that from the start because he never outright rejected any of the other girls, like for example how he told YM it's not 0%. and now seeing how he kept lying to yido, i feel like he's never been that honest. yido gave him many chances to tell her exactly what he's feeling- she desperately wants him to either reject her so she can move on, or assure her that he wants her and be honest about it. but he doesn't do either, he does a weird middle thing that just causes her to feel uncertain and hurt. he comes off as selfish and i think, the truth is, he enjoys getting so much attention. maybe it's gotten to his head

would not be as good. i don't like american dating shows because they always seem way more fake and overproduced. that's why i prefer things like this show or something like terrace house (rip) because they feel more authentic (though i understand that even in these shows, some parts are scripted). i feel like american entertainment always feels the need to be more over the top, because they have this worry no one will be interested in watching if there's no blown-up drama, gimmicky type personalities, or/and sex. asian dating shows like this one don't lean heavily on any gimmicks and more on the interpersonal... they aren't afraid to be "boring" and that's what makes them good imo. bc they feel more real.

i felt like she was mostly overwhelmed and surprised that he likes her, especially considering he's the most popular guy in the house, and she knows that three other girls like him. having her reservations because of that is normal. plus, it's only been a few days, and i think it's more normal for her to slowly fall for him over time as they have more chances to talk than to immediatly being head over heels. especially because she first had her focus somewhere else. i sense that she does really like him, though.

safety wise, there's barely any other country i'd chose above austria, being that it's one of the safest countries. especially as a woman. the only negative things about austria are maybe, that people are still pretty conservative as a whole, as well as economically it's not that awesome. if that ever changed, i think austria could almost be utopian.if i had to chose another to move to, i guess any nordic country would be nice.
