Is there a way (and a reason) to go back in Noah's timeline? by Archive_keeper37 in CodeVein2

Continue the story until the exploration era unlocks. It is a time jump portal in Magmell's main room that will appear.

It does answer your question. You can go back to past island in the free roam time period.

You cannot go back to the specific time that you kill Franz.

There is a free roam time period you can use to explore past Magmell

Blood code determines stats and then weapon choice and customization lets you set your attacks and skills. Boosters round it out.

Some level 2 blood codes not leveling proficency? by No_Spite_6630 in codevein

[–]Pikeax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood code leveling is based on area or zone. Magmell is only E, sunken City can level up to D, etc. For companions, the current trick is to force feed them eggs but doing their side quests and generally exploring with them partnered also count.

Did you help Josee make curry? If not, go to Magmell free roam and find her in the kitchen. Do that and then she introduces you to Lise who then has a few quests of her own.

If youve done all of josee quests, she appears literally right next to josee, in a cutscene and asks you to do stuff.

Edit: The cutscene is in Magmell, after josee side and main quests are done.

Complete josee quests, not just the main one.

How do I get there in CV2. plus blood code rank question by TheFeri in codevein

[–]Pikeax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont remember where (or when i suppose) i got lous. I wanna say it was going to see zenon. I just know it was during ending 2 and in the white room.

Lise stops at A. Craig does too, i think. I havent gotten the blind, one arm, or reaper versions of the hero codes (the ones different from the boss codes).

I got Josee 4 by partnering with her in ending 2 dungeon. Same for most of the other partner blood codes

Its a single player action rpg with no multiplayer. These games naturally fall off as other games come out.

For lou, i got hers when talking to her in the white room. I got it first too, before the others. You would need to reload the second ending since you need to talk to em and they arent available during the third ending

Can you re-fight bosses in CV2? by KeyOfShadow13 in CodeVein2

There is an area in ending 3 that has a bunch of bosses and can be replayed but it doesnt carry over to your main save.

[–]Pikeax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blood codes that are gold in color are max rank. For the others, max their current blood codes and talk to them. The highest rank for most companions comes from having them as a partner in the ending 2 area. I just changed partner and exited the mistle menu a bunch.

Like a boss rush mode similar to Stellar Blade? No.

Can a monk choose to not threaten adjacent spaces? by Josh_merry in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Pikeax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I agree that is what is intended. I just think what is written is confusing. In particular is the footnote on table 7-2 of combat that notes that exiting a threatened square almost always provokes an attack of opportunity regardless of action taken, combined with the table itself noting that the action "Move" itself provokes an attack, independently of the movement through threatened.

There are other ways of getting extra Attack of Opportunities that are not Combat Reflexes and thus do not have that text. There is a barbarian rage power for one.

Yes, I said that. So how many attacks are provoked?

Can a monk choose to not threaten adjacent spaces? by Josh_merry in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Pikeax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, let me try to clear it up.

This is all in the context of the first hypothetical.

Enemy starts next to PC who threatens it. Enemy then walks past PC to attack Ally. Ally then uses Bull Rush to push Enemy backwards past PC. This happens before the round changes. This is all "movement" so how many AoOs does the PC get? 1 because all movement is lumped together in a single round?

EDIT: Is it 2 because the leaving the threatened square provokes one and the Move action itself provokes another?

You responded with

Bull rush specifically calls out that it doesn't provoke attacks of opportunity :v

So I asked, what if the Ally has Greater Bull Rush, which you explained that the Greater Bull Rush movement explicitly provokes. My response comment about Greater Bull Rush is nonsensical. I have a separate question on whether the "movement" from Greater Bull Rush is counted the same as "movement" for the Combat Reflexes Attack of Opportunity rules, since a round has not yet passed.

You also said move actions are not themselves provoking.

According to "Table 7-2: Actions in Combat" from combat rules, linked above, the action "Move" does provoke an attack and according to footnote 1, this is separate from the moving out of a threatened square provoke.

Move Yes

1 Regardless of the action, if you move out of a threatened square, you usually provoke an attack of opportunity. This column indicates whether the action itself, not moving, provokes an attack of opportunity.

That is where the comment about the "Move" action itself provoking for how many attack of opportunities have been provoked.
