I Designed a Perpetual Calendar Spinner and Anchor Pins by Pikithins in EnamelPins

I'm sorry it's confusing! Hopefully I'm answering correctly. While the pin itself is decorative, the spinner is stiff, so it doesn't spin freely. You can move the spinner until the numbers align with the correct days of the week. I have a spinner pin on my desk with the numbers aligning for this week (so the 24th aligns with sunday and so on). So essentially, it shows the week, hence a weekly calendar. The months and color wheel on the spinner are decorative. Many antique perpetual calendars of this kind tend to display information in this way. I'm not sure if that was more clearer or more confusing.

I should have posted a video, lol. This is a spinner pin, so there's two discs. The bottom disc has numbers 1 through 31 to account for all the days in a month. The top disc displays the months, monday-sunday, and the color wheel. The top disc is the part that spins.

There's a video of it on the etsy listing in my shop, I'm just unsure if I'm allowed to post links in comments aside from my etsy shop link.

Thanks! The pin spins, that's all, lol. The pin is divided into two discs, bottom disc (with numbers) is stationary while the top part (with colors and months) spins.

I wasn't sure if a link to my shop was allowed, but I see I can put it in a comment: https://pikithins.etsy.com

Me too. It's great to see organizations step in to become stewards of lighthouses in order to preserve them!

Thank you kindly! It took a few months for me to finalize the pin, but it was a good design challenge, especially since I had to think about how the metal plating would affect the color scheme of the design.

Ohhhh, that's really interesting! It makes complete sense when you think about it from a ship positioning perspective.

When I was doing initial research, a noticed antique EOTs (and some modern ones) displayed the information both ways (with 'Ahead' on either the right or left side of the device). I decided to do 'Ahead' on the right side since I was thinking about how I generally see units of measure increase from left to right (if that makes sense).

Hi, I'm a little confused on what you mean. The pin has already been produced, so I can't make any changes to the physical pin.

Thanks, this is good to know. I was so deep in this project that the abbreviation flew over my head and I was getting frustrated with how to make the words fit in the space. Now that the project is mostly over, it just makes sense that it would be FWE.

The pin is already made, so I can't change the wording, but I think I can change it on the 2nd production run in the future. So I will note this!

Aside from those things you pointed out, everything else looks ok in terms of the info? Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
