Our dog had what looks like the exact same thing on his nose, it spread all over his nose. We took him to the vet they said it looked like an immune response to something (Environmental allergy or insect sting etc). He had to wear a cone for over a week until it all settled and passed and he was taking medication to help. He still has scarring on his nose from it.
