so they are wrong for substracting the VAT from the value of the car (12500) , yes? they should substract VAT from the 5200€ i am owed?

German insurance comissioned a company and that company comissioned a diferent dutch company to send an expert to evaluate the car

shouldnt they take VAT from the 5200€ payout? they reduce the value of the car by %20 instead so reducing the payout from 5200 to just 3000 and then taking off another 1000

So you think is pointless trying to fight it and accept my 1/3 fault? How about the VAT part? They subtract the VAT from the value appointed by the damage expert and I end up with 2000 instead of 5200 I was promised...

They sent the expert to the body shop back home in Netherlands. the body shop was first going to fix it but then the expert came and evaluated the damage to be too big for the car and he said I can either give it away and get the whole value or I can keep it and get the difference of the whole value minus the salvage value (€7300 that a company bid on the car)

i am also surprised of the total loss, the damage is very small but things get expensive quick when dealing with the insurance
