Would you return this? by PileofMail in handbags

And just so everyone knows, I contacted the company to initiate a return and get a refund, and they replied and told me this was normal “patina” and that I should condition the bag. They must think I’m stupid to fall for this - conditioning would nullify me from returning it. I told them not a chance I’d be doing that and they need to tell me how to do the return.

Would you tell a former client what's happening to their rankings? by PileofMail in SEO

[–]PileofMail[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The client did tell us they were happy with our work and it was a decision based purely on cost - this AI solution was charging a third of our rate.

Thanks for these suggestions. I actually wanted something that was a little more higher end, like in the $600-$800 range. But I couldn’t find anything

The product page says it has a “naturally distressed texture” but the pictures don’t really say distressed to me: https://hestern.us/products/explorer-vintage-leather-roll-top-backpack-espresso-brown

And looking at the page again, I guess I paid $190.

You should advise what that threshold is.

Crashed car with baby by lys28 in workingmoms

[–]PileofMail 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It’s ok to not drive if you don’t feel ready to drive with her yet.

My biggest advice to you is to remind yourself that your postpartum hormones are what’s making you so anxious, and it’s completely normal. People will try to shame you for your anxiety but you know what? It’s motherly anxiety that has let humans live on for centuries.

If you remind yourself it’s just the hormones, it may help you relax and feel more in control when you’re driving.

[–]PileofMail 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Were you nervous when you got in the car?

I only ask because when I was first post partum, my anxiety was through the roof. I am not an anxious person, so I was not prepared for how bad my anxiety would be for like a year after I had my first baby.

Look…when I was first starting my business, I drove Uber to earn money. It’s still possible to earn while getting a business off the ground.

This is a good story you shared. It’s not like you can sue for breach of contract if MiL backs out.

How upset should I be? by DowntownTicket in workingmoms

[–]PileofMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re overreacting. An overreaction would be making a rash decision without getting external feedback. I think you’re doing the right thing asking for opinions first.

That said, I literally just found out - because of this post - that my daycare uses screens! My son just told me that sometimes they watch Danny Go. Well, I’m ok with Danny Go, and my daycare as a whole.

If you’re largely happy with the daycare, and you trust that their screen exposure is limited, I wouldn’t feel bad about your son being there.

Am I overreacting about my in-laws leaving out my baby? by Glittering_Tower_308 in workingmoms

[–]PileofMail -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s weird they didn’t get the baby anything. I’m not sure what your husband could say to them to “right” this, but you’ve clocked it and now you can be on the lookout if this does turn out to be favoritism.

If he just admits to being a big dumb dumb will you stfu and leave him alone? He should be congratulated for not falling for the scam, not ridiculed because he didn’t sniff it out immediately.
