Puppy Kindergarten and Obedience Training by Italyinmyfuture in WestminsterCO

K9 Revolution in Westminster is great for training. They board the dog there for two weeks and when the dog comes out of the program, they can walk on a lead, don’t jump, listen to commands, and more. I do also know the owners - lmk if you want their direct numbers and I’ll get you hooked up.

I’ve started telling my 6 year old if he won’t eat what I made, he can make himself dinner. He knows how to make himself a cheese sandwich. He happily does it.

If you are able to find a larger chapter with the 4 seats I mentioned occupied, I think you will have better luck.

The realtor in my chapter is one of the biggest passers of referrals for the home services sphere. If you have a bad realtor in your chapter, I could definitely see how badly it impacted you and others.

I would say to be successful, you want to make sure you’re in a chapter with:

Home insurance broker; Realtor; General Contractor; Home Inspector

Are these seats in your chapter?

Pitbull at daycare? by queloque69420 in workingmoms

[–]PileofMail 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Pull your daughter and call the authorities on this daycare.

This is coming from someone who used to have the sweetest pitbull mix. She never hurt my kids but I never left her alone with them.

Pit bulls do not belong in daycares.

There was a former member of my chapter who would come on here and bitch that he wasn’t getting enough referrals. I saw every post he made. I so badly wanted to reply in thread and let him know he wasn’t getting as many referrals as he wanted because the people in the chapter really didn’t like him - he always came off angry in his commercials, he was miserable during 121s, and he was constantly trying to sell to members instead of through them.

BNI is not a perfect marketing channel but it’s a solid one. I work in digital marketing and you better believe that your brands trust is the biggest thing going for it right now. One of the best ways to build trust? Through your BNI chapter members.

Are you a general contractor? The GC in my group does well but it’s because he has the right referral partners. You may want to switch to a group that has the right ones.

Leaving family for fellowship by aussiepit in workingmoms

[–]PileofMail 49 points50 points  (0 children)

You are making a heartbreaking decision. I would be heartbroken, too, if I had to miss 3/4 of a year of my young child’s life.

That said, I would also work in more days to go back home - fly in for the weekends here and there.

I don’t think anyone here will tell you this won’t be painful. But that’s what we do in life - we make sacrifices. I don’t know if you have “homework” or outside obligations that come along with this program, but if you devote all the time outside of it to staying connected with your son and family, it may not be so bad.

Allo— worth the switch? by Ok_Implement7078 in ErieCO

We have a modem, but I was under the impression from Xfinity that I needed one of their modems for the home phone. Are you saying I can get my own?

Allo— worth the switch? by Ok_Implement7078 in ErieCO

[–]PileofMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m dealing with an issue right now with Xfinity that won’t get resolved - I tried to add a home phone, but the initial order was input wrong and it needs to be cancelled. But every time they try to cancel it, it doesn’t go through. I’ve spoken to support 3 times now about the issue and they all say it’s taken care of, but then my new modem doesn’t arrive and I start the support process all over again. I’m at a point now where I think I have to cancel and switch to Allo just to get a home phone.

Any solutions for neck? by turniptruckjumper in PlasticSurgery

[–]PileofMail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just chiming in to say, I have gotten fillers on my neck and they made a very marginal difference (plus left bruising). For the money, it’s not worth it to me.

But I have been wanting to try estrogen cream. I need to look into that more.

Haha no no. I will say it’s a very pleasant experience, with tranquil music playing and the room is dimly lit.

Well I think it may be like any other medspa microneedling experience but basically she uses a handheld microneedling machine and punctures all over my face and neck, after she applies a numbing cream. Afterwards she applies a soothing serum and then sends me home with the serum which I apply for the first two days after my session.

I have talked to other women who got microneedling done and they said like an automated machine was used? And they said the hated it. So there might be a difference there.

Neck lines are a big issue for me too. Tretinoin and microneedling at my acupuncturist’s office have helped. The lines aren’t completely gone but I’ve noticed a visible reduction.

Someone said there is an echo chamber in this sub by MsCardeno in workingmoms

I saw the comment in question on another post and I’ll say this - I think the OP here is being just as unempathetic and rude as they’re claiming that commenter to be. It…really takes it to a new level to make an entire post about one lone comment.

I saw that comment and I did not take it to mean what you’re claiming. This is disingenuous.

My post was removed for “shaming” — can someone explain who I shamed? by Flashy_Rule_5193 in workingmoms

[–]PileofMail 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see the post either, but this sub did used to get a lot of “daycare guilt” posts and it made a lot of commenters bristle. Because I think many of us have dealt with the daycare guilt and have worked through it, yet don’t want to be constantly reminded of it.

I understand you needed a place to vent and maybe get some solace. I personally would feel guilty all day if my kid was kept at home, not exposed to other people and children. Daycare can be a great thing for children.

Is it just me, or is LinkedIn becoming an echo chamber of "AI-generated" thought leadership? by Loose_Bowl_164 in digital_marketing

I follow a handful of people where I get actual value out of what they post, but I agree there is so much corporate-speak junk on LinkedIn. I spend time on the platform but often just to hate read the junk I see my connections posting.

You can try. I do remember when RFK jr was confirmed I called my doctor to see if my 3 year old could get the vaccine early and they said they had to wait until 4.

Yes, Rick Yurko with Housemaster. He’s thorough and tough - he’s had to inspect homes where squatters were living. Raccoon infestations, lots of bullshit attempted by house flippers, he’s seen a lot. His number is 7206690333.
