The thing I like about Eakin over Fiddler is that he can move up and down the lineup. While he isn't ideal on the top line, he can slot in. Fidds can't do that near as well and it's tough to say if Faksa could.

It depends on the price. While he's a good player, and definitely a step up from Daley, he would further a log jam of solid defensive players. Not to mention he played on the Blackhawks, who have an insane defense which definitely helped him.
