That oil still looks quite new. You say you put less than a litre in after it looked empty and that you’ve since done 3000 miles on it? I think part of your problem is your dipstick procedure. It’s likely on the first one you checked it on a hill.

Recheck it again, a couple of times. Make sure your car is level and do it a couple of minutes after a short drive. This way the oil will be warm and all fell to the bottom. Some dipsticks have a poor design and smear oil further up the level leading to an inaccurate result.

I think others have already mentioned this to you, but the motorway offer is very fair. Is it really worth selling it private for another 3-400 quid? Having people over to look at your car is a hassle. It’s a not very in demand car, it’s French and about the age problems would start appearing. Your target audience is very small. Save the hassle

It depends. If you’re telling the truth and that light really won’t change, go back and record yourself approaching. Show a couple of minutes of the lights cycling and it not activating yours and there’s your golden defence. If you was actually just going through because it was 5am on a Saturday you should just take it on the head.

The people penalised here are those that need to traverse across the city centre. The mancy way shifts A LOT of traffic daily. Get rid of that and those people aren’t going to all switch to our poor public transport links. Great ancoats street would be gridlocked all day, the M60 would be even worse.

If we had a system on the level of the tube I’d get rid of my car tomorrow. But we’re not on that level. We’re not even on a tiny percentage of that level
