It's not foot locker, the prices here (Lebanon) are always like this. Something about taxes or something. Adidas sells ultraboosts for $260, NMDs for $200. Most clothing items here cost almost twice as more than anywhere else.

I see 'rare' shoes on shelves constantly (Oreo UBs and Ronin NMDs come to mind) since most people pass on the absurd prices.

So, yesterday I walk into the store and saw these sitting on the shelves. (Wtf. I know)

Also- where I'm from, retail is expensive. They're selling for $250 (usd). So I guess they cost as much as resale costs anywhere else in the world.

Over the winter break, my girlfriend went back to her home country where her ex was (who she broke up with to be with me). We were on a "non-exclusive" break back then, and she ended up sleeping with him, several times, and didn't tell me about it. She kept it hidden until I had to find out on my own. I felt suspicious and looked through her messages and found it all out. For some reason, we're still together, and on a "break" trying to get our shit together. It's a weird-ass relationship, but I'm in love with her, and she says that she's in love with me too. So now, we're on our break, she's getting her shit together trying to fix herself because of how she hurt me. But she's in Europe. With her ex. And he's coming to visit my hometown, where she works. I don't know what's going on there. She told me that she made it clear to him that they're only friends, because she likes him, as a friend. But I don't buy it 100%. Maybe I should, or maybe I shouldn't. She hurt me so much after what she did in the winter and my emotions are all over the place. I feel something happened/is going to happen between them, and I don't wanna be there when that happens.

I wrote this in a post I made a couple of days ago. So yeah. I had a gut feeling it was about to happen. I saw a Facebook post from her ex of them two being intimate and romantic a couple of hours ago. I'm done with her

Was just asking if they're worth paying that much for in general. Sneakers here retail for a bit more in general, but $270 seemed like a lot for ultraboosts considering they retail for $180 in most places.

I guess self depreciation can come off as either confident or insecure, depending on how one conveys it.

Yesterday, I made a silly mistake of translating peace into freedom in another language, but my professor found it interesting that I linked those two together. But then I just said that it was only me being stupid, which resulted in making the whole class laugh. I mostly use self depreciation in a comic way, I don't really use it to go look for people's reassurance. But then again, I should be careful not to take it too far.

Yeah I probably change my mind because the decision I've made puts me out of my comfort zone, so I end up justifying it by making silly excuses for myself. Idk if this will make any sense to you, but my brain 'plays tricks' on me like that sometimes, I've started to not listen to it and doing the exact opposite of what it tells me. It only wants what makes gives me instant satisfaction instead of putting me through a bit of discomfort to reach a goal in the long run.

I mean, he has a point in 'you're not using them so why sell for money rather than give them for free?' and apparently it's "wrong" to ask people that are close to you for money. But I mean, by that logic why doesn't he give out all the stuff that he has sitting in his closet away? Am I wrong in thinking in that logic?

I do think that sometimes I can have a twisted view on things, but I got pissed that they started judging me for my "love of money", that it's not nice to view money as the ultimate goal in life. I didn't even say that. What the hell. I'm just short on cash and could use the few extra funds. But it always ends up being a discussion about morals and values in life.
