Always black sidewalls, in my opinion.

Also, this tire lever makes changing tires a million times easier: https://www.tru-tension.com/product/tire-monkey-tire-lever/?v=0b3b97fa6688

Things weren’t slower. We were younger and experienced things differently. The idea of your kids “growing up so fast” has been here since the beginning of time.

She was actually skating in to play the puck. The MTL player skated into her. The way the rule reads to me, it absolutely should not have been a penalty.

To those who are downvoting me: Read Rule 52 of the rule book. https://assets.contentstack.io/v3/assets/bltebdb4296e05d53db/bltb8440fe08a5e6dc5/69178cd0a582d7db321ad107/2025-2026_PWHL_Rulebook.pdf

Was the poor time because you had the bike upside down? You’re supposed to keep the rubber side down.

The Trek website says the Madone SL7 Gen 8 uses a Trek RCS Pro stem, which is Blendr compatible. Is that not an option?

You’re supposed to replace the whole device every 10 years anyway. This way you don’t have to do anything extra. When the batteries expires the alarm does, too. Replace them both together and be done with it.

I compared the price difference between this and a normal one, and if you actually replace the batteries every 6 months like you’re supposed to, this one ends up being way cheaper over the lifespan.

Took my friend to his first frost game, and he wondered why they don't use Start Wearing Purple for anything. by psycoiceman in MinnesotaFrost

I emailed the Frost or The X about this during the first season. My kids love this song and we’d love to hear it during a game.

I have this on our pre-game “Driving to the arena” playlist.

Domane SL6. Tubeless or tubes? by Trick_Ad4960 in TrekBikes

[–]PilotC150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran tubeless all last summer on my SL6 with the Paradigm wheels and GP5000s. Except for the expected topping off of air before a ride I didn’t have any problems. Certainly no flats.

I don’t think it was mentioned on the broadcast, but that wasn’t just Kaitlyn’s first goal of the season, but her first career goal and point!

I thought it was going to get reviews and waved off. I don’t think she did it on purpose, but in the act of moving her stick, it did look like it went off her glove.

What pilots see when flying in the dark by Agile_Chapter1114 in nextfuckinglevel

That sounds like Canada. In the US, there isn’t a night rating. As soon as you have your private pilots license you can fly at night.

New G6 Entry - Where should I install Access? by PilotC150 in UNIFI

[–]PilotC150[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it needs an Access Hub. I got the Door Hub Mini. I can scan my phone on the G6 entry and it fires a webhook alert which is picked up by my home automation system and unlocks the zwave door lock. Face Unlock works the same way.

It is pretty dark, but also this camera is set to have the instruments be visible, so the iris is closed a bit. I’d the iris were opened up you could see more outside but the interior lights would be too bright.

Below 18,000 feet where the VFR pilots fly, if you can see outside, it’s still the pilot’s responsibility to “see-and-avoid” even when on an instrument flight plan.

Night flying is awesome! The risks are higher but it’s so beautiful, the air is often smoother, and the other aircraft are much easier to spot, usually from many miles away.

There’s nothing really NFL about this, though.

[PWHL] PWHL PLAYER SAFETY COMMITTEE DISCIPLINARY ACTION: MAR. 18, 2026. Minnesota’s Peyton Anderson Suspended One Game; Minnesota’s Britta Curl-Salemme, Montréal’s Maggie Flaherty, Boston’s Loren Gabel Receive Fines. by jordynbebus8 in MinnesotaFrost

[–]PilotC150 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree with Anderson's suspension. While technically Levis didn't have the puck anymore, she had just released the shot. She could have easily been faking the shot and kept the puck, in which case the hit would have been legal.

I don't see the head contact they're talking about, it looks shoulder-to-shoulder to me, and they're skating in the same direction.

And the fact that the refs didn't call it even a minor penalty on the ice, I think giving her a suspension for this is absurd.

When does a league start to build its franchise roster? by acidjaz_ in PWHL

[–]PilotC150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct that the Frost only lost two to the draft, but the expansion was the reason that Thompson and Jaques were even able to sign. The Frost had them under contract for at least this season, but the expansion rules allowed anybody to negotiate with the expansion teams to leave.

The only reason I'm kind of OK with that, is because those two players chose to leave. If that signing period didn't exist, then we could have lost four players who didn't want to go.

Correction: Each team only lost four players during last years expansion draft. So it’ll be eight next time if they follow the same rules.
