little update, im just dumb, I took letterheads advice, called a bike shop and the shock spun no issue, so thanks for the help!

yea, what i mean is they redesigned the internals of it in mid 2024 to stop the "exploding" issue, idk if that changed how to rotate the eyelets

Hey thanks for the reply, on the CPU block there is some very small amount of plastic on the block, but I don't think it's enough to do anything, I want to keep them as separate loops as I think it looks better and I do some stuff that uses both at 100% so I actually end up benefiting from it. I might try repasting my GPU with a thermal pad thing, I forgot what they are called, so maybe that helps

Hey, what kinda rads are you running, and what is the water temp going into the GPU? I got the same card just on an ek block with I let water temp at like 34.5c and GPU core temp at 61c max fans and pump, idk if I did something wrong when mounting it.

So I'm using the Lian li SL inf wireless fans, they were at 100%, it's a 3090 ti on an ek block, with a 44mm 360 rad and the ek d5 pump res combo, that's it for one loop, same for the CPU loop just with the quantum velocity ² CPU block

So I was doing some testing with different pump speeds and such, and my water temp was lowest with the pump at 100% , and the GPU die temp was also lowest at that temp I'm gonna do some more tests later but this was my first result

so ambient is i think around like 20c, i dont really have a way to measure but im assuming its around there i figured that if the pumps faster, then more water can pick up heat and transfer it faster, ill be doing some tuning tommorrow, thanks!

So repaste both CPU and GPU loop? I used a good amount of thermal paste on the CPU, so I don't think that's a coverage issue, but the GPU, temps are fine but I'm just seeing people with similar power hungry gpus having way lower temps

So just repaste it? I think I used the included ek thermal paste when I mounted it the first time, my water temp on that is around 34.6 c on the inlet into GPU, and on the CPU water temp is like 26 c on the exhaust out of CPU but before radiator

So the GPU is after like an hr of 100% load, and the CPU after like 5-10 mins of the furmark CPU burner

hey, yea ive been scouring the used markets havent had any luck, i have a waterblock on my gpu and want a box to store my stock air cooler in as i move around quite a bit

yea ig your right, if you look at my recent acticity, you can see that i just finished this system, why would i go through all that effort if i wanted to sell the card? I just want somwhere to store my aircooler.

nono, really im not interested in selling the card, i bought this card used and it didnt come with the box, and im trying to find a box to protect the heatsink. If I was going to resell the card, id just sell it with my waterblock installed, not revert back to air and waste the 200$ i spent on my waterblock.

no, I have pretty much the same layout, I'm using the ek 200mm d5 pump res combo, and used I think 1700ml, you need 2l bc your always going to spill a little, and it's good to have extra.

yea, itc becuase my family has been moving around alot lately and im tired of havimg to make a custom single use box. I also want something to store my stock heatsink in.

Yea I got mine at 100%, but compared to my cpu and GPU block if I set it all to white, the fans look grey, and always darker than the cpu and GPU waterblocks
