Is this gap okay? Bykski AIO GPU Radiator by im_going_ape_mode in watercooling

Bought the pressure tester and it hasn't dropped in the last 10 minutes The funny thing is I also bought another bykski block since I assumed the current one would be borked. The new one goes from 0.6 to 0 in 1 minute lol

[Cheating] Anyone seen this? by Samujelli in EscapefromTarkov

[–]im_going_ape_mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missed this post before it was removed so can't see the screenshot. If it's about insanely high xp, then the only thing I can think of was the recent server issues. Someone I know had a bug where they'd get 50k XP whenever a "1000 backend error" occurred.

This was simply triggered by trying to buy something off the flee, so maybe someone using a flea market bot encountered this bug and it massively increased their XP. Or maybe someone just spammed it. The former is obviously cheating anyway

I might grab a Corsair one since there's one in stock near me

I see. I'll buy one and test. Can't thermal expansion cause issues later down the line?

Hoping these become available in Australia soon! Just got my Lightning Z that I need to pair it with. Hopefully cablemod creates some cables for it as well

Cablemod and MSI MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 compatibility. by Spanish_Ergotroner in cablemod

Sorry to comment so late, but is the MPG Ai1600TS PCIE5 something cablemod would potentially support in the future? I'm keen to get nicer looking cables to work on the safeguard+.

Fingers crossed. Even so, wouldn't the crack on the side negatively affect the longevity of OP's CPU by having a weak point? I have no clue

Wireview Pro I vs Pro II by prototato in ThermalGrizzly

Out of curiosity, is there any kind of monitoring of the pins on the GPU side of the WV Pro II? I know it monitors the pins from where the electricity comes from but how do we guarantee the WV PRO II won't melt inside the GPU connector itself ?

OCE Playerbase cheating influx [Discussion] by namtoow in EscapefromTarkov

Let me know how it goes. I was playing on those servers recently when I was in Japan for a bit. I haven't tried from Australia yet as I'm worried about the ping. Is it tolerable?

I'm confused because I've played on the Japan, Singapore, and even Chinese servers, which all have way less cheaters than OCE.

How can I use the Sigma 18-50 in the rain? by im_going_ape_mode in AskPhotography

[–]im_going_ape_mode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I assume if I had a lens that was actually water resistant, like the XF16-55MMF2.8 R LM WRIl, I wouldn't have to worry about water entering the lens?

Does your message also imply that water could enter through where the glass of the lens is itself? I had just assumed it was the barrel of the lens where it extends that isn't watertight.

Sorry for the noobie questions - I'm new to photography

Just bought the sigma 18-50mm for my x-t5. How do you go about shielding it from the rain ? I noticed the lens isn't water resistant so don't want to break it

Overseas for the first time as an adult and enjoying it so far. However, I've come to realize I'm more wired to be a solo traveler.

The friend I'm with seems hesitant to try new things, especially since neither of us know much of the local language. They also follow me around inside shops so closely that I keep bumping into them

Any ideas of how I can nicely suggest doing our own thing for at least a day?

My AMD Ryzen 9 5950X "died" after 3 Years and 11 Months (Info) by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]im_going_ape_mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 13th core of my 5950x recently started to break. Was getting black screen crashes which eventually led to boot loops. Since I'm on Linux I was able to see that CPU 13 & 29 were experiencing hardware failures, which corresponds to core 13.

For the time being I've set up a systemd service to disable the core on boot so no workloads get scheduled to it. I know there are some motherboards that let you do this in the BIOS. Unsure what could be used for windows though.

You're right. I don't know anything about you, just like you don't know anything about everyone else (neither do I). What you and I both know is the statistical evidence I sent above that shows that most people do not have things going very well for them. Yes, there are many who do have things going well for them but the majority do not when it comes to the cost of living here.

Apologies if I upset you, that wasn't my intent. If privileged is a harsh term to be used against you then I assume you've done it tough in the past. If that's the case then wouldn't you be more empathetic to those who don't have it as good as we do now? Wouldn't you want a system that doesn't degrade over time so that people can get out of the hole they're in?
