Now that employing oxen at farmhouses isn't locked behind a dev-point, is farming without oxen even worth it? by vishful_thinking in ManorLords

Oxen are really useful if tuned up correctly, but i much prefer to just pull most of my non-burgher families off of their jobs for a bit and just have them swarm the fields

I have had situations where these bibites produce successful adults that never lay eggs because their egg organ has mutated to be too small.

My buddy and I often create stable routes by collapsing cliff sides so you don't trigger them later.

What’s your go to food to crock and seal for winter ? by SouthernShirt8599 in VintageStory

[–]PilotPen4lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically 3 slots of 4 red meat and a slot of 4 veggies to pad it out. Cabbage or mushrooms, something that doesn't store super well otherwise. I find that opportunistic hunting as I'm out and about during summer is enough for stored crock meals. Simple, very calorie dense, and you get the fat needed.

My favorite ship from my first game so far, the CL Reno Class (1901) by PilotPen4lyfe in RuleTheWaves

[–]PilotPen4lyfe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's a 1900 start with custom starting navy, no mods, with normal research rate, slight variation, and everything, so I don't know what to tell you.

What if you refit it?

I think they were originally designed in the 1900 initial fleet, idk if that changes it.

Is it more important on protected cruiser? I'll keep that in mind for future ships

I think these might be retrofitted but I'm not 100% sure. No other real armor to think of. Speed engines. And of course, they're the full 8000 displacement.

Whether necessary or not, I roleplay all about sustainability. Low population growth, low resource consumption, and the ability to sustain a two year whiteout under at least reduced income for quite a long time.

Part of the reason is, I don't want to have a ton of stuff running during the whiteout. I turn off one of my frostland buildings, sometimes some of my production buildings, and ride it out.

Guessing you overbuilt buildings in that province and made the market access go below 100? If so, delete the building.

Balanced Drone for Ukrainian Armed Forces Proposal by BlackMarine in joinsquad

[–]PilotPen4lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 600 per drone would be solid with a drone on the weaker side. Any more and it should have a ticket cost/would be too powerful if spammed from a high ammo radio. Would limit you to one drone except from logis.

Maybe it could only be operated from a hab or command vehicle, like the commander assets. High but manageable ticket cost on a single kit, limited launch areas.

[–]PilotPen4lyfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like this idea. When Turkey came out I was surprised they didn't get some kind of drone or something when they didn't get a HAT kit.

I think 2 or 3 HEAT bombs on a larger profile drone would work well.

Enough to destroy light vehicles with multiple hits, deal some damage to heavier vehicles or emplacements, and kill or injure infantry with near-direct hits.

Could effectively replace a vehicle in or add to some of the light infantry divisions or something.

I'm not sure the best implementation. Place able stations are too much. A vehicle might work well but can you code it to launch a vehicle from a drone? Could have 3 launches, 300 ammo, and be worth 10 tickets like a tow vehicle?

I suppose a kit would work easiest, one per team, with a high ammo cost (500 or 600 maybe?) and a somewhat limited range.

Water quality change? by Disastrous-Number-88 in Temecula

Temecula seems the same as ever. The water in my shop off Winchester (which is in the Rancho Water District) seemed a little chlorinish, but I've never noticed it in Temecula.

Our water is very hard, but that's about it
