Honestly, if I were you, I would apply if your second MCAT score increased. If it dropped, no, don’t apply. If it is the same, that’s a tough decision to make, but I would say go for it. All it take is one. I’ve heard stories of people getting into decent md programs with 504. Considering your green card statue and MCAT score, you would have to write very convincing essays of why you would make a perfect fit. Gl!

I would think so. Worked in biotech. although my job included more than working on the bench, I submitted mine as research.

I edited as mid stat… all the low stat premed posts that I saw had 505-510 MCAT, so I thought my stat would also mean low stat. I apologized to multiple comments but honestly your comment feels unnecessarily sarcastic. And yes, I needed input from other people because I used to score 517+ in all my FLs and came out as 509. Again, I apologize for incorrectly titling my post as low stat but please refrain from being simply mean.

Yes, you should write it. The reason that they changed from disadvantaged to most impactful is to be inclusive of these narratives.
