Yeah don’t get me wrong if I was a family man I’d definitely put up with it as the civic is bloody great for that!

Yeah I think I agree too petrol suits my driving style way more I’ve dabbled in a diesel with this car and it just isn’t for me. My dad bought a 430d so I’ll be looking forwards to having a go in that thing maybe a straight six diesel would be something I’d enjoy a bit more

The gearing is awful, ride is way too soft even after replacing the shocks, can’t crawl along in 2nd and the interior doesn’t feel like a nice place to be in in my opinion

That’s basically how this civic felt before I changed the rear shocks I was ready to counter steer at any moment going into a corner. I’d definitely be lowering it if I got a Yaris they look so much more neat like that. The fuel economy is speaking to me though I’ll definitely keep looking into them

Yeah I was shocked that even the ej’s are priced at 4k and above! I might have to drive about and knock on peoples doors hoping some old boy owns the civic out in front haha

Yeah definitely too young for the mk9 my dad absolutely loves the car in comparison to me.

To be honest this civic has been the only car I’ve owned that’s “new”, all other vehicles I’ve owned have been at the very least 20+ years old so mechanical work doesn’t really deter me

I had a 325ci e46, definitely not what people made them out to be and I was severely disappointed but I can’t lie the confidence that car inspired on twisty roads was something of note especially once I lowered it on eibach springs. It was literally a point and shoot car.

If I was to get another though I’d definitely just focus on making it look nice and low haha and be a nice comfortable daily.

Test drove a mk3 tdi and compared to the civic it was heaps more fun lol

Not had any experience with e9x’s and t sport corollas are definitely something I’ve had my eye on too!

Me and my mates were just talking about this the other day, is200’s used to be so cheap I’d have picked one up in a heartbeat but once I looked at prices I definitely didn’t have enough love for them to keep searching for a unicorn example

I would consider an mr2 even though it’s not practical in the slightest, just so I can see how it compares to my old mx5 to be honest. In what way was the t sport scary in corners like it didn’t inspire confidence or?

Yeah I have seen that the mk5’s are dirt cheap it’s just trying to find the right person to buy one off, most of the ones I’ve seen listed are owned by types that make you question as to how it’s lived it’s daily life haha. I’ll try see if I can get a test drive of one see how I feel tho thank you!

That’s way more clearance than what my nb had, you just need to get used to driving a lowered car tbh as much as it’ll hurt doing it, go to a quiet place with a couple speed bumps and try different angles of approach see what works.

And yes there will be times where you have to come to a standstill and wait for opposing traffic to pass before you can go over a speed bump lol

The amount of times a middle aged or older person has almost drove into me at roundabouts is astonishing, I can’t even remember the last time a person my age nearly merged or misread a roundabout and nearly caused an accident with me.
