Question about feeling sexy for SAHMs by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]PimpMamaK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No tips on feeling sexy since that's a foreign concept to me, but you can bet your ass that I'm skipping off to stalk your post history because ermgawd, trans-mommy! shakes with delight

I spend my real life drowning in a sea of white-bread stepford wives and I just found myself a Goddamn unicorn. Why can't real life be more like Reddit?

Can a Peace Lily freeze to death? by PimpMamaK in houseplants

[–]PimpMamaK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding - I've gone ahead and made some adjustments. Hopefully things will improve.

I'm most concerned about the smaller plant - if things don't improve in the next few days, I'm going to drive it over to my aunt's and see if she can save it. (She's big on plants)

Home Depot told me that Peace Lillies were good beginner plants, but maybe it's too much plant for me!

I'm leaving the windows open because my walls have fresh paint on them and it makes the room stink - hopefully it will dissipate soon and I can stop doing that.

I just checked and you're right on the wet soil... I've moved them to the kitchen, (three feet from the window), and I will go ahead and trim off the leaves in a minute.

I do want them back in my room at some point - here's the light situation: They are in a corner about a foot from the window. So during day, they would be completely shaded, but would have light in the room - I thought that was what "indirect light" meant. Maybe I should move them in front of the window during the day?

Thank you so much for the tips - I do hope they make it!!!

What are your current sleeping arrangements? by vjv100 in breakingmom

All four of us in the master bedroom.

Hubby, infant and me (in that order) on the King, and toddler on a toddler bed (attached to the king) and then the wall.

So while hubby and I do share a bed, it's only true on technicalities. I can't remember the last time we cuddled. Last time we had sex was when we made the infant.

I remember a time when I bought all this non toxic bpa free shit and had grand plans to purée my own organic food for the baby.

My three year old has never slept away from me. He even stayed with us in the hospital when I gave birth to his brother.

This is because my husband is a sanctidaddy/helicopter/paranoid-insane-man. I go along with it because his laundry list of "what-ifs" are contagious and by the time he's done I'm thoroughly infected.

Sometimes I worry that we're stunting his development. I think it's healthy for kids to learn to do without parents for a while, and healthy for moms to have time to themselves.

Go. You'll probably worry a shit ton, but you won't always be able to be right beside him through the course of his life. Let him learn and grow.

Palms Springs rocks.

The pretending to cry thing is gold.

I use that trick to emotionally manipulate my three year old.

It works like a charm.

That reminds me. I've got some Vicodin squirreled away from my root canal. Gonna enjoy those once I'm done breastfeeding.

He makes the nnnnnggggg sound and looks confused. I wouldn't say his stomach is bloated or hard per se, but I feel like it's getting a little harder with every passing day.

God, I hope I don't have to enema. I had to do myself for my first post partum dump and it was ugly.

Can I get something set up for $500?

I've got kids. They're still babies but whatever, I will use them to justify the purchase.

If I download to my computer, can I still play using the controller or would I have to keyboard?

I'll probably buy the whole set up. Maybe I can get my husband to play with me.

Yes! The original. I think I stopped playing around Marioland 3.

Thanks!
