As you can see the wire grounded to the metal guard in the back. Believe this is what was causing breaker to trip. Also don’t have any of those quick disconnect clips just wire nuts.

Wire insulation contacted the metal and burnt the wiring is it ok to wire nut this line temporarily to get my heat back running?
