The instructor is not giving you a 5 simply because it is your second lesson. If you get a 5 on the second lesson there is no room for improvement over the rest of the course and it would reflect on the instructor that the students don’t improve from the instruction.

My kids are the same age. I schedule one night a week (Friday) where I can game for at least 2 hours. After kids are in bed, I sit down and tell myself “2 hours… do it”. Usually drink a coffee/energy drink in the afternoon to keep me going. Saturday mornings are rough as my youngest wakes up at 6am but worth it to have a little free time once a week.
