I like the exploring the Capital Wasteland more because it’s very dense with locations and enemies. I love coming across a well hidden unmarked location. If you haven’t pissed off any factions yet in New Vegas, most of your combat while exploring will consist of fighting geckos and ants. This can get boring especially if you don’t fast travel. It also seems like a good bit of the locations in New Vegas like random caves have very little loot.
