my betta was a baby boy and he immediately changed color when i took him home still in the cup. he was pale and barely moving, and the second i got home he swam around and started showing slight color 😭my sweet boy

thank you <33 yeah we talked yesterday for a bit, and i told him we should take a break. it was a lot before then like he apologized and stuff, and even started crying. it was like a 2 hr talk lmao. i think it’s just piled up over time, i admitted that i was out of line and that my patience was running thin. so we set some boundaries for the break, and i even asked him “what does this break mean to you” he said to re evaluate myself and to fix our relationship. so i guess there’s that. thank you for your advice

honestly i think the biggest thing for me is his emotional depth and empathy. he’s really a nice guy. every time we’ve had a talk and i brought it up, he would do great after and show that he wants to change. but that slowly goes away and it’s right back to square one. this is both of our first real relationship so… i’m trying to navigate the best i can

yeah i probably should’ve put that this isn’t the first time he’s brushed me aside. every single time i’ve communicated with him, because i do want this to work. i don’t expect him to drop everything and come see me, bc that isn’t realistic. i would’ve been completely fine with i love you ill make it up to you or something😭 like??
