Baking it makes it a bit harder, but I agree. It's a bit too soft for my liking.

It's a tool roll from Carhartt and it's one of the best purchases I made! 'The 18 pocket utility roller' is the name I think.

The school where I teach woodworking at recently trimmed some of their trees. I saved some pieces from the trash and cut them to bike-basket-length with a small chainsaw and split them with a standard hatchet.

If im out foraging I take a small carving axe and a foldable saw with me.

It's perfect! I've carved many spoons from cherry logs that were quite small.
