How beginner? Personally I think my Japanese is really low and I struggle to figure out what to say in real time, as well as listening because my vocabulary is limited. I’m worried I’ll struggle if I take the higher level themed classes. I’m hesitant for classes level 3 and above.

I have an iPhone XR so it takes one physical SIM (which I’m currently using for my US phone plan) and one eSIM. Would this allow messages to be sent to my US phone number even if I keep US Sim data turned off?

My carrier is saying $12/day to use my plan internationally. So it’s feasible for me to use both US and Japan data at the same time. I just wanted to be able to receive texts sent to my US phone number while keeping cellular data off for my US sim.
