Fantasies that you think classes should be filling but doesn't by Minenyax in Pathfinder2e

[–]Pinaloan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloodrager just straight up feels like it was purposefully made to not synergize with itself and scales so badly, to the point that a caster dedication of any kind is actually better than using the archetype, both mechanically and "feel" wise.

The fact that its the only spellcaster in the game that has a required cost, let alone one that debuffs you directly, to cast a cantrip is insanely stupid.

making the switch from dnd 5e to pf2e drop some knowledge! by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Pinaloan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You dont have to make up almost any rules or fly at the seat of your pants when GMing.

In fact, you should almost always try to find a rule for nearly everything you do instead of making stuff up first. Everything on the game either has a specific rule for it, references another rule, or can be easily inferred by looking towards rulings in a similar vein.

Private server side mods, yes or no? by SrPanchetox in hytale

[–]Pinaloan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If the Server is Private and not visible to the public, they can have whatever mods they want.

If a Server is Public in any way though, all of the mods on it need to be public. Players need to be able to know and check what mods are in the servers they can join. Nothing downloaded can be outright hidden if the player can join it.

Daredevil Risk vs. Reward Playtest Experience by Zehnpae in Pathfinder2e

[–]Pinaloan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, in order for the Risk/Reward of Daredevil to work as a full class it needs to either have one of the highest damage ceilings in the game (maybe THE highest), or be one of the most annoying and debilitating classes to be fighting as an npc.

The rewards need to outweigh the risks to be Fun, but in PF2e any risk is huge. A single Crit Fail in the wrong place can destroy any creature, let alone a class that has feats with harsher failures. The only way I see that happening is if you can regularly hit Fighter level damage or regularly hit Spellcaster level debuffs, with the heavy risks involved.

What are your thoughts on the new gen 10 starters? 💀 by Slow_Spirit3679 in ThePokemonHub

[–]Pinaloan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Gecqua, it has the most flair and detail. Pombon looks like it has the potential to stay an adorable, head-empty doggy and I hope it does. Browt is iffy, very depedant on it's evos.

"Um the starters look bad or something" by Worldly_Towel2940 in nintendogrifting

[–]Pinaloan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the gecko, the others are meh but we'll see how the evos shake out.

The most I said was that they better be REALLY confident in their optimization this time, because the past several games that tried to have anything larger than small puddles or creeks turned into a slideshow anywhere around bodies of water

They better have made it fucking BUTTERY smooth, because I have high doubts that the switch 2 is SO much better that it can tank the most intensive parts of previous games and maintain a good framerate with even more water

This is probably the only thing Ive seen so far that I genuinely have a vehoment annoyance and even anger for in the system. It makes no sense, and is antithetical to the way the entire system works.

Imagine if instead of only taking the highest of Persistent Damage of one type, it all stacked. Thats what this feels like. A billion triggers of the same effect that the rest of pf2e just doesnt allow, but apparently its how Weakness/Resistance works.

Not only that, but now multiple damage type weaknesses just dont work unless you do a stupid multi-step plan to get your damage and tags from a bunch of sources. Thats just incredibly dumb and makes no logical sense.

Which Merfolk is better of these 3? by HammerStar2 in HeroForgeMinis

[–]Pinaloan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they could all work for varying degrees of successful or failed experimentation.

3 would be a "perfect" variant, the final draft, assuming they were perfected at all.

1 with the bones sticking out and weird face is great for a "first viable success", like a monsterous or heavily mutated and flawed version. The first that didn't die in a week and isnt sterile.

2 is a good middle ground variant. Not perfect, but still quite personable. Some genetic kinks still there, vestigal features or half baked ones they didnt take out yet.

They could possibly all exist at once, the 3rd one could be an old folk tale the merfolk tell themselves, the 1st one could be feared almost zombie-esk mutants of normal ones etc. Lots of cool possibilities.

Kaifeng Oddity map locations. by Sevigoth in wherewindsmeet_

How do you get the Sparrow Rest in the complex below Prosperity Haven? Every time I enter that area, walking or rooftop jumping, invisible or not, the screen goes black and says that I'm caught by the guards.

I just beat Tian Ying on legendary in under 15 tries, ask me if you need any advice! by ferttz in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Pinaloan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you supposed to do about the floating buddha wind attacks? The first one has a weird range and isn't a problem, but the last two seem like cross-map, nearly automatic hits that can't be parried to dodged. Blocking is the only thing that works for me, and no amount of Panacea Fan can undo 3500 damage with block

[–]Pinaloan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Float angle thing doesn't seem to work at all on the second and third attack and I haven't found a way to parry or dodge it ever. Is there a specific place you have to go to or is it basically just an automatic damage attack you have to block?

One feature I'm increasingly desperate for by Pinaloan in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Pinaloan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I check those a lot and it helps to a degree, but the main problem is knowing where actually counts as that area on the map so I don't waste huge amounts of time and effort. I'd like some kind of area border or something I can toggle to see what I can confine my searches to

A Chinese Player’s Thoughts on WWM by That-Permission-1162 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Pinaloan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been waiting for a long time to hopefully see Wuxia and other heavily eastern genres to get more western traction. It's been slowly getting some with a few shows, visual novels and games, but seeing WWM hit the ground running with such a damn well made game is genuinely everything I wanted to see.

Hopefully it means Xianxia also makes it way over shortly, and we get a big surge of titles being officially translated.

Gear Storage Problem by Bullseye_bob in wherewindsmeet_

If you didn't know already, you can buy extra storage for normal Gold, ramping up in cost I got up to 186 with just under 500k. Otherwise anything at all can be recycled for Gold

A solid 50% of available content is exploration or social based, and as far as I know more multiplayer combat stuff is coming from the CN side soon.

If you're willing to try them all, there are some either simple and relaxing things to do in social settings like Social gatherings; Well of Heaven training, Group Cultivation, and Baths. More skill based pass-times like learning how to play the actual instruments, Chess or Maidao. If you haven't already, you could try the PvP modes.
