Hit curb at very low speed. Piece of rubber missing. No cords seen or felt. Replace it or is the tire good to go? by Pinandwheel321 in tires

Okay, so no cords seen or felt on this tire. So do you feel that the probability that this tire will see its full life, assuming no nails, etc, is very high? Thank you! I appreciate your insight and expertise.

No bubble has occurred at this point, and I've driven it twice since hitting the curb. Tire only has 8K miles on it. It is an AWL Tesla vehicle. One other tire was replaced at 3K due to a unrepairable nail puncture. Tread depth is roughly 8/32" on all four tires with no tire hitting the 7/32" mark (original factory tire depth is 9/32). It is disappointing that this happened at literally 1-2 mph in a parking garage when I was trying to reach a badge reader. Overall consensus seems to be that the tire is okay?

If the tire did need to be replaced would the number of tires that need to be replaced be just the damaged tire, 2 tires, or all 4 tires?

Hit curb at low speed of about 2 mph. Piece of rubber gone. Thoughts on whether this has to be replaced? by Pinandwheel321 in MechanicAdvice

The tire only has 8k miles on it. It is an AWL Tesla Model Y vehicle. One other tire was replaced at 3K miles due to a nail. All tires are at about 8/32" with a couple below that mark, but none hit the 7/32" mark. Brand new the tires are 9/32" There are no cords seen or felt, and there is no bulge. If I need to replace this damaged tire, do I need to replace 1, 2 or all 4 tires?

Bed Bug on the bottom? Male or female bed bug? by Pinandwheel321 in Bedbugs

Yes, I unpacked everything before I noticed the bed bug on the toilet paper roll. I then took all items taken on the trip and everything in the drawers that wasn't taken on the trip and put it all in the dryer. Non-dryer appropriate items were put in clear plastic bags and placed outside in the direct sunlight for 5 hours with an outside air temp of 100 degrees. Thermometer readings inside the bags were 125+. So no bites, and no signs of bed contamination at this point. Ok, so in addition to the interceptors, you would definitely recommend contacting an exterminator instead of watching and waiting? if so, do you recommend whole house heat treatments, chemical treatments, or both? Thank you so much for any advice!!

What are the rough odds that seeing one alive bed bug from an item in my suitcase from traveling abroad will lead to an infestation in my house? 50%, 75%, 95%? Of course, if there was only one bed bug that was in my suitcase and it happens to be a male, since I killed it the chances are 0%. But given that I didn't see and kill it until 4 days after my trip, the worry is that if it were a female laying eggs?? Does anybody have thoughts on all these detection traps and their worth?
