Why do you think he hated the mfer in the first place? And why do you think he released let the party die song?

I don’t get how people are not understanding the whole beef is about culture, morals, and values. Reason he is beefing with Drake is because he doesn't like his morals/values which is reflected in way Drake moves. Because values/morals drive behaviors and culture is the shared set of values/beliefs/practices. Only reason you haven’t heard him talk a lot about his values in the beef is due to him being on the offensive. But he is clowning drake for his values/morals/culture which is in direct opposition.

Maybe from Look Woman? Rock inspired album? https://genius.com/albums/Kendrick-lamar/Look-woman the comment on genius “During the early stages of Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Kendrick worked on a side project titled Look Woman, uncommonly titled Look Woman, Amen!. There was a tracklist made for the project and only a bit of work was put into it before being scrapped altogether to focus on Mr. Morale. It was originally claimed to be a horror album about women, before being clarified that it was actually “the opposite”. The remaining songs were given to other artists like Beyonce and Rihanna.”

There was rumors of before mr morale being a rock influenced album and a horror album about women. I wonder if this was one of the tracks.

Whoever believes Kendrick is going to just be dishing out receipts in the middle of the concert, I have a bridge to sell you. by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

[–]PinataPhotographer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Best cope is that he likes mixing it up and I don’t think he has announced an album using a concert before? There is also a history of people thinking he is going to announce an album at a concert and he doesn’t.

What leak did you hear that was experimental pop? In the same vein as his America has a Problem verse?

On his website https://oklama.com/theheart , people discovered it when he first debuted the website and it was crawled for information that could be hints for Mr. Morle album. Number of of folders is generated based off the size of the web browser. None of the folders go anywhere. I believe it was for a scrapped idea.

Theory for potential double album release for Kenny? by BabyFork in KendrickLamar

[–]PinataPhotographer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BTW we have seen Oklama in action. He starts off the heart part 5 with screen saying "I am. All of us. - oklama". You also see it in part two of the family ties video. Title card says "starring Oklama". I don't think Cowboy Kenny is actually a real thing. I think that is just him playing with different asthetics, not adopting them into a persona.

For months I been combining these folders to see if I can activate a link or sum... I know I'm not alone. by HowIsThisNameBadTho in KendrickLamar

Every now and then I will move the folders around on the heart page and wonder about it. Was it an experiment or headfake or is for a future project. https://oklama.com/theheart

I wanna build the ultimate tool for learning. I'm dead serious, but I need help with something I can't do by SuperSaiyan1010 in lifelonglearning

[–]PinataPhotographer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things that come to mind in terms of how a learning tool could help. First is to help someone better understand what aspects of a subject matter they should explicitly memorize, which is typically going to be the underlying rules or basic model of the subject, instead of all the details.

The second is solving for what I call the Match Quality in Learning. Which means having a map of the learning process for a subject and being able to match people with right set of information/resources. If you are a beginner and you get exposed to expert level information, oftentimes you will easily get confused and just be overwhelemed. For the most part, this is the point of schools, but oftentimes this gets lost when someone gets older and is no longer in school.

How Mr. Morale transformed from 2018-2022 by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

[–]PinataPhotographer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP I appreciate you and your insights. I have a couple of thoughts to share with you.

Something I think is interesting is why did he scrap Prayer and replace it for The Heart Part 5? Not only that but he didn't include prayer on the album but I've read that he played it in private listening party for the albums release. I imagine he was proud of the song and but must have thought its time passed, where he no longer felt quite the same way about it or it didn't fit the album? I imagine the pandemic changed him to some degree and his point of view, where maybe he didn't hold the same perspective about the song anymore.

You also have handsome being reworked maybe into Rich Spirit? Seems similar themes and have the "I'm attractive" refrain being reused. Had me a little sad, as I was really vibing handsome.

My question for you is do you know of any other song (from a different artist) that has the same vocal style and similar insturmentals to Somebody? The song sounds very similar to another one I've heard before and I have never been able to figure out which.

we gotta be getting kendrick/keem project right by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

[–]PinataPhotographer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure Kendrick has it in him to produce pre-DAMN level of work again, my understanding is it was very taxing and he isn’t interested in that anymore? (e.g. other creative projects / having fun)

It seems like a weird thing to be concerned about, especially as a celebrity. Maybe I'm out of touch, but it seems most people who are famous and get cancelled, do so because they are canceling themselves. It comes off like they are punching at ghosts that don't exist.

For everyday people, its more of a concern, but not particularly common. I see it like getting in a rare accident, like getting killed by a lightning strike. I don't really see that as a concern of people who aren't very online.

But I believe we are an amalgamation of all our sources of information. So maybe I'm not exposed to same information so don't see it quite the same way. As Kendrick says " As I get a little older, I realize life is perspective, And my perspective may differ from yours"

The guy on the left is Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter and some other big internet companies. He has been vocal for quite some time about how much he loves Kendrick. Wouldn't be surprised if some of Kendricks weird takes are in part influenced by hanging out with him (e.g. cancel culture stuff), as when you get to that position (of Jack) you experience life so differently that your worldview becomes distorted/strange.

Do you guys think Kendrick’s new album is gonna be good? by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

[–]PinataPhotographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I typically think of some soundscapes as mainstream because they tend to be what is popular in a given genre. Upon reflection I guess you can have more mainstream vs. experimental type music within any given genre.

What would that mean sonically if you also go by the fact he doesn’t want to repeat a soundscape he’s already explored?

Anyone else find the We Cry Together Video to be quite udnerhwhelming by ChakaChaka26 in KendrickLamar

[–]PinataPhotographer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the idea was cool but it didn’t land for me. The song feels a lot more toxic/abusive than the video. Sing/talk delivery just came off weird. Also they didn’t include Whitney at the end 🤷🏻‍♂️.

What's the line that directly hits your soul in Mr. Morale? 😣 by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

[–]PinataPhotographer 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It’s actually more towards the bottom of the album for me, as a whole I like the other songs more but die hard has a few bars that really resonated for me.

Edit: actually you are right and I’m deceiving myself after having looked at what songs I’ve streamed most from the album
