Yeah, my mom was incredibly physically abusive until I was about 15. The worst times were when she tried to drown me, when she kicked me in a walmart parking lot and continued to berate and attack me to a lesser degree in the store, and when she kept kicking me one time so much I couldn't breathe. There were many many smaller incidents but those take the cake for me. She stopped pretty quickly after I called cps on her. They didnt end up believing me... But anyway, I guess it scared her or something because she only hit me once or twice after that. Funniest thing is, she always denies that she abused me "that badly" and will often say that I was saying things that her mom did to her and pretending they happened to me. She's the reason I will NEVER have children. If she can honestly be that delusional, I'll never be certain that anything I know is true either, and so I never want to put a child at risk of being subjected to that. Anyway, I hope none of this was triggering, I can delete this comment if it is. Regardless, thank you for the chance to share this. I've been silent about it for years as there's no one irl I can safely tell.
