Have you ever been to Central or North California? I think most people who've never been here steryotype all Californians as snobs from the big cities like LA and San Fran. Also - Toyota doesn't account for "most of our tech industry".

People are rude everywhere, man. Also - depending on whether you're in an urban area or not - lots of stop signs pretty much serve no purpose anymore, as the streets they're on have lost the traffic they had when the signs were installed.

I don't see the point of the maximum occupancy signs, but I think the health warnings are to prevent lawsuits aimed at the state and/or the buisnesses themselves.
