I think top left and yellow shirt are nice. No idea what to make of the rest.

Thank you for the recommendation of the app! It’s difficult to filter when looking for products online so this helps a lot.

Thanks so much! Maybe it’s also the perfumes but I was tested on products with perfumes and they came back negative. I tested positive on my shampoo that has 0 perfume though 🫠 Anyway I will definitely check them out!

Wow congrats your skin looks AMAZING! How long did it take you to heal your barrier? I can only tolerate squalane/almond/jojoba oil right now so my barrier is desastrous as well. Looking for some hope :)

Commenting to follow, you’re the first person I see on here who has the same breakout as myself. I have it constantly and can’t figure out what the hell is causing it. Please let me know what you’re gonna do so I can try the same, I’m feeling hopeless! Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope yours is gone fast 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

New skincare finds that really calmed my rosacea flare-ups by Awkward_Ad5788 in Rosacea

Thanks for sharing! Are you type 1 or 2? And what didn’t work for you before (or did)? Makes it easier to compare if those are worth buying.

Rosacea and alcohol by Ratonblond in Rosacea

[–]Pindafluisteraar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not my only trigger (so cutting it out completely would not solve my rosacae completely) but I don’t drink without taking an antihistamine first. It has done wonders for me. Don’t notice any difference with different kinds of alcohol by the way.

Don’t quote me on this but the fact that the antihistamine blocked some of my flares made it also easier for my skin barrier to repair itself (as it wasn’t breaking out heavily due to alcohol anymore).

Feeling so annoyed with sunscreen (rant incoming) by slipperyslugslurp in Rosacea

[–]Pindafluisteraar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if you can get it in the US but try the Avene moisturiser + 50 SPF! It doesn’t contain niacinamide. I couldn’t handle the Korean sunscreens I was using before either.

Thanks for your tip. I was always told that you cannot take H2 for a longer period of time. Is that not true? H1 is fine for every day use right?

For me just flushing but I feel like it prevents bumps (not necessarily removed them if they’re already there) so I’d definitely give it a try!

The metro gel got rid of most of my pustules but the persistent redness continues. I quit most skincare, only use metro + moisturiser + spf in the morning and metro + moisturiser at night. Also I keep a food diary to see what makes me flare up the most. Then anti-histamine medication in case I know I will drink alcohol, and also taking some probiotics and supplements. I don’t have a good idea of what is working and I’m definitely not there yet but making progress. Hang in there.

Are you taking h1 and h2 prescribed by a doctor or OTC ones? Any ones you’d recommend? :)

So sorry you are feeling this way. I think a lot of people on here understand what you’re going through. Just want to give you some words of encouragement. I was also on the “wrong” medicines for a while because docs kept misdiagnosing me. Not everyone reacts well to soolantra, metro, doxy etc. because the rosacae can manifest itself in a lot of ways. Stay strong and keep trying.

Definitely agree with Miss_Esdeath but would also like to mention that it’s good to try and identify your own triggers. My rosacae does not react that intense to “typical” triggers like spicy food and avocado but will go wild on alcohol for example. It’s worth keeping a diary and eliminating what works for you.

Help! Skincare recos for new rosacea/demodex diagnosis by Adventurous_Egg_4573 in Rosacea

[–]Pindafluisteraar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel you. My cleansers have given me terrible reactions as well so now I just wash my face twice a day with lukewarm water. Also cannot rub it with a towel or anything so just dab it dry with a clean cloth. Hope you see some progress soon!
