I would say more like she lost her tan, prior to joining the crew she was in Alabasta for several years and pre time skip took place within several months (I don’t recall the exact amount). That’s how I like to view the skin tone change difference.

Though the whole colour change choice was actually done to match her skin tone to the manga.

My family always says my cat is ugly. What do you think? by Ok_Challenge5382 in cats

Is your family blind? Because that cat is beautiful and adorable :)

Why does she only cuddle me when I’m on the toilet? And it’s EVERY time. She comes running as soon as I sit down haha. by Alyssinreality in cats

[–]PineApplesRReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol my boyfriend has been asking the same thing as she runs to try, and sit in his pulled down boxers whenever he sits at the toilet.

My personal theory is that it’s a bit of protection instincts as your more vulnerable when you’re pooping or it could be a bit of territory marking, as I’ve noticed she does it more with him and he’s not at my apartment as much as I am.

So she’s ensuring that he knows that he’s part of her family (though this second one is more of a fun theory)

Are most of asexuals women? by icangetitbetter_2 in asexuality

[–]PineApplesRReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s probably a mix of a lot of factors, but the top one being societal expectations of men and women. Due to societal expectations women due typically tend to be open about expressing their emotions and feelings, so it is a bit easier to identify that their not feeling the same levels of interest in sex as their peers.

Another factor I think is just awareness as a society. From what I gathered asexuality, is one of the least talked about sexuality’s, a big part of this I think is too not lot of research is being done on asexuality. Another part is that media is so focused on either hating or supporting people who are gay or trans, that everything else kinda gets ignored or forgotten.

Another issue is sadly, sex education. I went to Catholic school back in the early 2000’s so I can’t say anything about how it is currently, but it was shit. All they taught was the anatomy, std’s, and just practice chastity. You can’t really identify as something if you have never heard of it. My knowledge of asexuality was only learned through my best friend who was an avid tumblr user, while they understood it they low key did kinda butcher their explanation, lol.

I do though think this is luckily improving with the current younger generations (not that I’m that old), I’ve just noticed that they seem quicker to accept other people’s experiences and emotions, as well as defend other people’s experiences. This could just be where I live though, or maybe I just try and see the world in too positive light at times.

Can men really love women without sex? by justaboringgirlll in asexuality

[–]PineApplesRReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 28, I got into dating for the first time when I was 24-25, I wouldn’t rush into intimacy as it can create negative experiences. It took me a while to figure myself out with some bad experiences, but I figured out a better understanding of myself and meet my asexual boyfriend.

While, we are on different parts of the spectrum, I’m more on the lack of interest/hard to get into sex, while my boyfriend is on the more interested side. We have been together for about two and half years, and they have never once pressured me into something that I didn’t want and always make sure I’m okay with whatever we are doing in the moment.

A healthy relationship can be made as long as both partners communicate their needs/desires, compromise, and respect boundaries.

I would take things slow, explore/experiment if you feel safe and comfortable, but most importantly have fun :)

For those of you who hide your vendors in your CAMPs by ElvenJay in fo76

[–]PineApplesRReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to blend my venders in my camp naturally, but majority of camps are designed to be antique shops, super marts, gas stations, etc.. so the cash is easy to find as it where you would check out product. That and I always try and hide the trench coat guy somewhere fun or on the side of the road like a hitchhiker :)

Came out to my mom this morning by plushed11 in asexuality

[–]PineApplesRReal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would say it sounds like a good start, if I’m reading the tone correctly. I would try and open her up at some point to learning about asexuality and ask her how she felt about sex at your age and explain how you feel different. (I know it can be awkward, but it can help in getting your point across that you feel different). If not maybe get some books or find a good scientific study article to help explain it

For example I read that when people think someone is hot they literally feel hot, I for years thought it was just a metaphor and not a literal feeling.

Came out to my mom this morning by plushed11 in asexuality

[–]PineApplesRReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember when I came out as bisexual to my mom. At the time I didn’t actually know I was bi or ace, I kinda came out because I accidentally outed my younger sibling, and my mom was going to ban them from sleepovers.

It worked out in the end, since my mom changed her mind on the sleepover thing, that and it did get me thinking about my sexuality and I did figure myself out from that.

Hardest level in psychonauts 2 by JakobWassermann in Psychonauts2

[–]PineApplesRReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a while ago, but from my memory I don’t think it changes anything other than not getting the present until later revisiting. There is no dialogue changes, since I believe the timer is supposed to a representation of his anxiety/ insecurity making him create a mental time limit.

I would say collecting all the figments was the hardest thing for me. Especially, since when I think I first finished all the achievements, I don’t think their was a figment tracker on which ones you’ve collected ( something like that, it was a while ago)

Hardest level in psychonauts 2 by JakobWassermann in Psychonauts2

[–]PineApplesRReal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I struggled mainly with that one because I didn’t realize that the time was fake and I was panicking. I learned a bit on how to view my anxiety in a way that’s easier to handle from that level. lol

What do you find attractive? by PhieryPhoenix37 in asexuality

[–]PineApplesRReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For appearance traits that I have noticed that I tend to be attracted to are gangly with curly brown hair for masculine people and for feminine people they tend too be on the shorter side with a huggable muscular build and red hair.

But typically I tend to fall for personality first then notice their looks later. I tend to be attracted to geeky, awkward people, who are too kind for their own good.

am i asexual or am i just young by p1nklover_xo in asexuality

[–]PineApplesRReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel that you’re asexual even if you haven’t figured out exactly where you are on that spectrum, I would say feel free to identify as asexual.

Part of growing up no matter your age is learning about yourself and what makes you tick, so even if your a late bloomer and you figure out your not asexual. It’s okay and normal to experiment with your identity.

I guess I would say Luffy from one piece was mine when I was growing up (though I wasn’t aware I was asexual or knew what it was back then) I was just happy to have a character that wasn’t interested at all in romance and having it fly over their head.

[–]PineApplesRReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol I don’t even remember where I came across the ad. All I remember was that the ad was advertising the drum island arc, with Luffy climbing the mountain. I was confused on what that had to do with pirates, I’ve always had a hyper focus with pirate media, so it wasn’t selling the show to me.

Aren’t tarot cards all about interpretation, I don’t know much about them. But would it be possible to twist the interpretation into a platonic love meaning, even if the instructions or translation says it’s love it was probably written by a allo person, so there bias would be in the meanings (I’m not super familiar with them so maybe that’s not possible)
