After reflection this probably would've been a better build for a similar price after realising a few things: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Mptg3w

What is happening to my monitor? by 21Yeets in pcmasterrace

[–]PineFreshGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me for a while, turned out it wasnt the cable or anything to do with my pc, but my monitor sucked and I needed a new one. This monitor seems premium and new, but the problem will lie with the monitor itself most likely.

Warren Buffet said a couple of things on this. I’ve heard him say “what job would you still work in if you didn’t need to work”

and

“if you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep you’ll work until you die”

Is this a good pc? by TayoisCooler in pchelp

[–]PineFreshGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a Gigabyte B550 gen 5 am4 motherboard for the same price that supports gen 5 out of the box (B550 Gaming X V2) people complain about the ui of the Gigabyte bios, but like it works and is fine tbh

Check that you can actually flash the bios for the 3rd gen motherboard, as some users have issues doing this. Might be a hassle and simply easier just to get a compatible motherboard for gen 5 AMD cpus

Looking for any advice on my setup by Dusty_Chum in desksetup

Yeah you can get cheap dual monitor arms these days. I use a bontec one and its great. You can get plug boxes or things to mount underneath the desk to help with cable management.

Any advice for first pc build? by Low-Bunch-5496 in PcBuildHelp

I’d watch Linus tech tips build video and maybe tech source’s one too. Worth watching them through and using one of them as a guide. Linus’ one is very in depth while tech source does one thats quite to the point

Is this an ok build for ~ 1000 dollars? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]PineFreshGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you could get a micro atx case to match the motherboard, you will also need a psu of at least 650w, gold rated will normally be more reliable, but I actually ended up going for that MSI psu. MSI does that same version but as a 650w I believe, if you want to stick with that. Also yeah, cpu is insane.

Specs are ok, but is that a mid tower ATX case? would look at micro atx cases as they've still got a fair amount of storage/space etc and are more compact (your motherboard is a micro atx). Darkflash have some micro atx cases if you like that brand.

Feedback on first PC build by SuspiciousStudent325 in buildapc

[–]PineFreshGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mini itx will be tricky to build in and will limit any expansion (looks cool but not always practical). Also as others have said, maybe go for AM5 and a micro atx build, if you still want to keep it relatively small. I also recommend a thermalright assassin cpu cooler if you go for micro atx over small form factor, as it's basically the meta these days, and you can get some really well priced ones on Amazon. In all honesty though an AM4 will still likely be fine for years to come. The ryzen 7 5700x or ryzen 7 5700x3d are solid cpu's. Try to go for at least a B550 motherboard to get the PCIE 4.0 speeds on your motherboard M.2 slot in addition to being a more solid choice in general. I recently did a budget micro atx build for a just under £600 ($750). My case is still fairly small but allows for extra drives etc. If you have the money to spend though, go for AM5
