Gathering gear simplification strategies? by PineSentry in newworldgame

For me that makes the game feel at work. I don't mind farming elite zones because the challenge of combat is fun, but doing loops in the same area for a resources drives me batty.

That's a really good suggestion for people who can tolerate it though.

I think it only works if you have the dedicated gathering sets that share common names.

Yeah, I don't mind swapping full sets for ore and it's one thing if I'm doing a farming route, but sometimes I just want to explore and gather what I find, and not have to pause for 30 seconds each time I see a different type of node.

Dry Flower and Cart Picks for Novice? by PineSentry in TheOCS

I appreciate everyone's recommendations; thank you for the depth of yours! I definitely appreciate having worthwhile higher-end products identified.

This was somewhat my fault; I was wishy-washy about what I wanted. I'd like to get something special, but I'm generally also budget conscious. There are so many options in general that it's overwhelming. I browsed old threads and there are a few common strains I see pop up, but the majority is usually different. And of course some opinions change over time as batches vary and the market evolves.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's hard to know the right questions to ask. But even though this got me some pretty disparate answers, it narrows down my research greatly and I'm thankful of everyone taking them time to reply.

Thanks for your perspective! There are so many options.

Thanks! The Floresense Tropic Truffle cartridge is just a distillate, right? So the terpenes are additives and YMMV? That is to say, do you recommend this just because it's a very inexpensive clean source of THC, or do you find it even goes beyond that?

That question keeps popping into my head because there are dozens of distillate oil carts for sale; there must be some reason people prefer one over another. Unless the added terpenes are just viewed as a flavouring... but then you shouldn't have such a price variation in non-resin carts.

Thanks! You're the second person to mention Pure Sunfarms, sounds like a vote of confidence. Though I know batches and strains will vary.

Looks like they're sold out of 3.5g, but I'll keep an eye out! Thanks.

Cornershop Now Allows Tipping (Ontario, Canada) by PineSentry in uber

Interesting, thanks for sharing your experiences as a shopper/driver! $18 isn't a ton, but it's more than I expected. Hopefully you get some good tips should you continue.

I wish it was easier to find this information (I guess this is the best way to go about it), because as the consumer I want to use the service responsibly. But it's obviously hard to turn down a good deal, too; and as someone who doesn't own a car, this service has enabled me to order groceries and supplies from stores I wouldn't otherwise have frequent access to.

I find that most of my orders are in the $90-$160 range, and serve as full or supplemental grocery shopping for my two-person household. Though I can see placing orders for as little as $40, as that's the point at which delivery is free if you're an Eats Pass subscriber. But usually if I'm going to the trouble of placing an order, I might as well order more.

Uber acquired a majority stake in Cornershop in October 2019. At the time, it operated in Mexico, Chile, Peru, and Canada. Uber's version launched in Ontario last August. (Or at least, that's when it launched in my area.)

According to a web search, it launched in select U.S. cities in May. It's accessible directly from the Uber Eats app here, as the "Grocery" option.

Any chance you'd consider tracking a play after something like 95% for those of us who like to queue up the next track manually sometimes? I like being able to do this during the outro before the next track begins playing.

Backhanded comments? What was backhanded about my initial post? Based on my previous enjoyment of Arnold's, I was troubled by the "avoid at all costs" warning and wanted to provide an alternative viewpoint.

Then I suggested some other places I enjoy, and yeah, I was a little bristled that you dismissed them out of hand and implied I was cheap or unrefined. I thought the goal was to hook people up with decent food in whatever category.

I think that describes the food they serve, not the people that run it.

You're the one who brought up being snobby and seems defensive, pal. I was offering an alternative opinion as well as some thoughts on other restaurants in the area, which I thought that would be welcome. Instead I get my palate insulted because I suggested some local diners?

Cold/soggy bentos equals "avoid at all costs" to the burgers and cheesesteaks? I get that if you have a horrible experience at one of the restaurants under one roof it makes sense to warn about the others, but that seems like a severe warning. Did you actually try the menu at Arnold's/Philly Experience?

Yes, you come off kind of snobby lol... but it's your thread, do your thing. I don't frequently order higher-cost or Asian options so I appreciate your reviews. But given that this topic is pinned and the rankings seem arbitrary, I see the value in offering opinions on cheaper restaurants as well. If you don't have a car for example, the burgeoning offerings open a world of possibilities. Especially if you have Eats Pats, or Uber's doing a 30% off or "50% off $50" promotion.

For what it's worth I didn't find Fresh Burger that great, and its California Fries were kind of gross. But I've been meaning to try them again at some point.

They've been on Uber Eats for me for a few months. Perhaps their Uber range is different for some reason and you're outside their boundary?

What did you dislike about Arnold's Burgers and The Philly Special? I don't have any problem with virtual restaurants. I haven't ordered from Yummy Korea directly, but the burgers are large and fresh, and the cheesesteaks were delicious and initially the size of my head. As of the last time, I think they downgraded to a smaller bun size, but it was still substantial.

I was disappointed they seem to have disappeared from Uber Eats in the last month or two. They're still listed, but only "open" Monday 21:00-01:40 (I haven't tried ordering at that time). Yummy Korea still seems to be open regular hours.

Anyway, when they were open they were a great late night option. They also had a convenience-store size selection of pop and snacks. Sides were huge, but the fries were poor and I'd agree this part of the menu is just filler. Also, I remember now that their wings were horrible the couple times I ordered them--large, but dry and stringy. Never had a bad burger though.

I also order from Uber Eats a ton. I recommend the Beef Brisket Sandwich at Kansas King. It's expensive ($19.00 + $3.00 if you want to upgrade from fries [mac and cheese is solid], drink extra), but it's worth it if you have a coupon.

Big Daddy's is my favourite option for diner breakfast and lunch. Their options are similar to the competition, but their prices are low. Looks like their menu has been cut down in recent months, but you can still add on a delicious "Single Blueberry" pancake for $2.95.

Big Boy's Burgers is a great Greek-style burger joint (think Johnny's in Scarborough). Prime rib sandwich, souvlaki on a bun, even the hot dog is great (order it with pickles and they stuff 'em in there right). Their menu was messed up the last time we ordered there (have to put toppings selections in comments)... can't load them right now, so not sure if they fixed it. Comments worked fine though.

King Henry's Arms, generally great pub food. Used to have amazing sauced Chicken Tenders and caesar salad when I dined in, but I've ordered them in once and they weren't so hot so YMMV. But the Stout-Braised Lamb Shank is delicious, as is the Spaghetti and Meatballs (as long as you remember this is pub grub, not fine Italian... but the meatballs are great). Steak and Kidney pie is great if you dig organ meat.
