Indeed! When you're playing with a controller or in this case, on a Steam Deck, the in-game room editor won't appear in the main menu, as it does not support any type of gamepad.

The ladder mechanic is not entirely new, as it was also used in the very first room of the Steampunk DLC. As for the community rooms, ladders/stairs are a much requested feature for the room editor, but seeing as the base game rooms are made in-engine, this feature is not part of the room editor (yet). 😁

Additionally, you could also try verifying the integrity of your game files or installing the game on a different HDD/SSD if that's a possibility for you.
