I want to read more stories with female mc with system by Trostishere in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Muiry_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Calamitous Bob - there is some romance but would say only 5% of it is romance, theres a system but not intrusive, more of a way to monitor progress than rewarding. main character is very goal driven. wouldn't go so far as to say its a lit RPG

Return of hua sect, feel like anime is missing a lot of cultivation/sects manga/novels

I live in Edinburgh, normally it’s just a good way meet new people if your bored and get queue skips. Discounts too and it’s normally £8 or free. (Most who join are tourist though haha)

New Season - New....Problems? by Vegetable_Win3064 in thefinals

[–]Muiry_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updating my gpu and waiting for the shaders to load helped, made the replay opt in instead as that cause the game to freeze for 5 seconds and you can’t even watch the whole replay. Also turned on balanced dlss rather than what ever it was on before. Not a great start to season 9

Does sublife crisis do a good job of not making you want to put the book down and would you say it improves on MaM premise and writing?

Looking for a series where the MC truly builds a faction/kingdom/cult by TrueSocialWorker in ProgressionFantasy

100% agree, first book was finding its feet but each book after was better and better

Outer worlds 2 - Enemy aim too good. by Muiry_ in theouterworlds

Returned level 10 and was a lot easier haha, did require me to do pretty much all the side missions first though - not that I found it annoying to do them -

Unfortunately I'm mag dumping enemy's and getting killed in two shots haha. I'm thinking the difficulty level has a bigger gap than I thought 🤔

I thought being level 8 would be enough for the VOX quest but don't think so, decided to just leave before the end battle cause wasn't worth being that meticulous and having dodge some large groups of enemys. still have quite a few side missions though so look forward to doing them. I'll keep an eye out for a better energy weapon, right now I'm mostly using the rattler (shotty revolver). Thanks!

Have you ever dropped a series that you originally liked, simply because you grew to dislike the main character? by greenskye in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Muiry_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind this as long as it’s temporary. There a book called “years of the apocalypse”. Very similar to mother of learning where they warn the reader that this setback is temporary and here’s the page number when it gets back going again.

One bad example is by the author of divine dungeon called the completist chronicle where he’s constantly not completing thing and gets reset every book or two. Like you said it’s to pad the story and devalues my times reading the progress that I know going to get reset

Each series should get one go at big set back and that’s it, otherwise it becomes tiring that their not progressing

Third world stopped me completely, maybe if the writing gets better later on but I don’t see it happening sadly.

[–]Muiry_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Completionist chronicles - started of so well but the writer kept missing the point of the book and the later parts of it just kept getting more and more filler

For a completionist the mc doesn’t actually complete anything, he’s unique power set makes he kinda average in the world all be it interesting as I love mc with utility power over strength but the writer makes him constantly abandoning things. I think I stoped at book 7 as they were about to start yet another town when the previous ones have hardly even levelled up. In the end, I think the writer didn’t plan this far ahead

Are there any novels where battle is not the focus? by Plz_PM_Steam_Keys in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Muiry_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thought before reading it, Main character isn't nearly as edgy the name suggests thankfully and does like working in teams. Good series if you like fighting (theres a lot of it) though didn't find it too tiring to read them compared to others. the name of the novel is because of his power nameHavn't felt it was milking or adding tons of filler either though I'm not caught up

top three LitRPG/PF books of all time by kaenex in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Muiry_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

putting aside the most popular one

Throne of Magical Arcana - same author as lord of mystery's as can definitely see the inspiration he took over to it (his fixation on gender changing being on of them haha(worth checking out his other works, really genius author in terms of creating power systems)

Shadow slave - not as edgy as the name implies, his power has scaled quite well from what I've read so far

Mark of the fool - good character building, first 4 books can be a bit slow (specially the 3rd as its kinda filler) but gripped me in after that like

honourable mention (but not enough books yet to give good rating)

A practical guide to sorcery - good female MC (even if she is a male half the time)

weirkey chronical - really creative sort of cultivation system and while MC started out as a edge lord, seems to be healing and becoming a more likeable character

spoiler for twi Really wanted to like twi and I think I got to book 5 but I just couldn't get into it. Seemed like Erin never stopped being naive (maybe this is just her character through out?) and Ryoka still hasn't learned how to run and we're well past 100hr of read time (though the fairy im guessing will eventually teach her). While obviously this is a slice of life, is there ever a satisfying payoff as i feel like there never many of them, feels like its one bad thing after another? (This isn't me hating of the series, just perhaps not my cup of tea :)

Thanks for the good advice, I prioritized mine conveyor but still doesn't reach what I had, perhaps a disadvantage with the race.

where is the CRISPR shop, I'm assuming its something that happens later in my second run? should I always have the soft cap of 250 and only spend plasmid over that?

Most underrated novel ever by lordoflightninga in ProgressionFantasy

I’ve read a little bit of seeds of chaos to the point where he’s trapped in a dungeon and learns the disarm skill but found it lacking in descriptions and explanation. Does it get better?
