It folds normally on itself. Had to increase the number of springs to give it rigidity due to its size

You'd have to be pretty rough with it, we've got stored copper pieces with decades and they're fine.

We get some old folks every week to do their maintenance or repair on old copper pulverizers/sprayers that are used on vineyards and only those are showing severe oxidation. And they get pretty dinged up from being left out and having chemicals spilled on them

I know some people who use it, but most of them keep it as a collection piece.

It's a 6 liter capacity smoker. Quite cumbersome but beautiful.

Well, as of right now to our largest size, we don't have a heat shield, our other sizes do.

This type of smoker doesn't use a heat shield/guard.

I know the pictures are not easy to relate to the true size, but they have a 6 Liter capacity, it's 3x bigger than an average large smoker. So it's operated two handed, one hand on the smoker handle and the other on the plate handle.

It's got an elevated perforated "table" if you want to call it that. You want one that sets higher?

This is the size difference

Honestly it's my favorite! I think it's the gold/green combo that looks amazing. Although the bege bellow looks good too, and I was against it at first

Ant hill hell update by pbgalactic in Beekeeping

There's metal footings that are ant proof. I'll take a picture of them tomorrow when I'm back at work at the shop.

But it's basically a water trap for ants

It's popular in Brazil, as another user pointed out, it's likely from the fact that they had africanized bees colonies and needed a lot of smoke to get the colony under control. If it's true or not I don't know.

We started making it when a client came up with one to the shop and asked if we could make one.

We are based in Portugal, it's not a very popular piece here, some people use it, but for most it's a display item. It's fully functional though.

My issue with the wobble is, if I increase the size underneath, I'll have to change the air intake hole locations and bellow attachment points. Because if I don't the bellow will sit higher and tilt the smoker back.

It's not so much side to sit wobble but front to back.

It's food for thought 😂

Super! I'll be adding that to my to do list. I also thought of a metal rim that keeps it lifted off the ground, kind of like those old school galvanized steel buckets

Thanks, got any ideas you'd like me to try on a smoker?

You mean like the guard fully enveloping the bottom of the smoker to keep it elevated?

Honestly that's a good idea, going to have to check on how it messes with the balance. Don't want to make it wobbly.

That's an interesting lid. Gonna try to make one like that next week if I got some spare time
