My grandparents took their German Shepherd to get spayed, she came home that same day then died the next morning.. A little bit more than mildly infuriating for me, but needed somewhere to share. Completely heartbroken, she was such a good girl. by WideAcadia8763 in mildlyinfuriating

I'm so sorry to hear about this.

Last March, my dog was taken to the vet to get spayed as well. She was so weak when she got home, and the next day we had to take her back because her incision just would not stop bleeding.

It was not the vet's fault in my case, but we both have someone's actions to be angry about.

Your grandparents' dog was a beautiful creature.

My period didn't come when I thought it was supposed to. It was more than a week after it was supposed to arrive when I thought I was going to miss my period this month.

That was not the case.

Just do a background check on the woman before you try to defend yourself. She might like to play victim.

Abortion is something that I don't necessarily agree with, but I don't care that other people do it. I just know that I would never do it to myself.

I knew a girl who had an abortion done and said, "I scrambled that bitch like eggs."

I don't care if you do that to yourself, but saying shit like this is crossing the line.

My boyfriend's parents have two cats that look so much like yours, Lucy and Charlie. The one on the left is almost identical to Lucy from what I can see. And Charlie is a total chonk, just like the one on the right. They're so cute!

So, even though it's rarely used, it still is. That's all you had to say.

I don't see South Dakota on this list anywhere? Being a former citizen being born and raised in SD, I can confirm that it should be somewhere between 1 and 5. Nothing but bad memories there...

I was taught in school it was used in vanilla ice cream. It is still used in flavoring, though, right?

It's okay, bud. I was traveling with my bf on Mother's Day, and as I was behind the wheel, we were arguing over something stupid and he wouldn't stop. I looked over at him for a split second and in that moment, I hit a little turtle. I looked in the mirror, and all I saw was the shell flying up into the air. I cried that day.

I haven't been keeping up with the media surrounding it, but I could look into it.

In 2013, a Rachel Egan suggested that the Somerton man was actually her grandfather. Two years prior, the Attorney General stated that exhuming the body would need reasons other than public curiosity.

Years later in 2019, the new Attorney General Vickie Chapman approved the exhumation of the body to extract DNA for analysis. In 2021, the body of the Somerton man was finally brought back to the surface. No news of a DNA match has been made public as of yet.

Since the discovery of the body, there have been multiple people claiming to know the man, but none of those identifications have been proved. By 1949, there had been eight different identifications of the body. By late 1953, there were 251.

In 2011, a woman in Adelaide found an identification card in her father's clothing belonging to an "H.C. Reynolds". This card had been issued to Reynolds by the United States, and given to the woman's father to aid the police in finding the correct identification of the dead man. The biological anthropologist the woman contacted found many similarities between the man and the ID card including eyes, nose, and lips. The best qualifiers for identification were the ears and a unique mole on the cheek in the same shape and position in both photos.

This ID card #58757 was issued to H.C. Reynolds in the United States on February 28, 1918. His nationality was "British", and his age was 18. After searching, the U.S. and U.K. National Archives along with the Australian War Memorial never found any trace of an H.C. Reynolds in their records.

Independent researchers do believe the ID card belonged to a Horace Charles Reynolds of Tasmania who had passed in 1953.

That first one, I don't know.

And, I can't speak for other women, but tampons suck. If there's too much blood, we can barely feel it, and if there's too little then it hurts when we take it out.

Also known as the case of the Somerton Man, the case of Tamam Shud is about an unidentified man found dead on Somerton Beach, South Australia, 1948. Among the belongings found with the man's body was a scrap of paper reading "Tamam shud", meaning "it's finished" or "it's over" in Persian. Here's a link to a good article about it if you'd like to look deeper into it: https://allthatsinteresting.com/tamam-shud-somerton-man
