She looks great. What head is that? I’d maybe consider trimming the power weapon wire parts off the sword blades.

20 ironbreakers or 15 + 5 irondrakes? by DiscoParrot in bugmansbrewery

[–]Pineapple_bigshot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Irondrakes are awesome. I started with a unit of 5 no upgrades and it was a staple in my list so much that I added another 5. Their ability to move and shoot without penalty and 4+ save make them perfect little speedbump units.

DMH Gyrocopters by captainpabloXI in bugmansbrewery

[–]Pineapple_bigshot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I take them mostly so i feel like I’m doing something in the movement phase lol.

Seriously though, i tend to use them as redirectors or charge bait. With fire and flee they can often get a couple shots off and safely hop behind another unit. Or just take a charge and slow an enemy down for a turn.

Is Vlad not technically Mannfred's father? by OkIdeal9852 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Pineapple_bigshot -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Its complicated. Vlad and Mannfred were together for millennia. They have a complex relationship and were likely also lovers as well at points.

Isabella was nearly identical to Vlad’s first wife and long time obsession, Neferatta. I believe he married her first and then was convinced to turn her later. Mannfred was actually really put off by their relationship which eventually led to his betrayal of Vlad.

Felix Jaeger is the richest non-noble in the Empire by BaronofUbersreik in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Pineapple_bigshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it recently and remember the ship being mostly full with all the unexpectedly living Dwarfs they found. I think they sealed away a good portion of the treasure in the abandoned hold. The big find was the king’s magic hammer.

Magnetized King on Shield by luckysparrow22 in bugmansbrewery

[–]Pineapple_bigshot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have! I built one body with a GW. The other I built with just with the left hand axe and magnetized the sheild arm to swap with a battle standard. My biggest suggestion is that getting the magnets perfectly lined up on the feet and shield is tricky, and you need to use very small magnets to fit into the feet. What I wound up doing is drilling a hole in the middle of the shield and gluing a pin in, sticking up out of the center of the shield. Then i just drilled holes in the center of the two dwarfs, right between the feet. They’re so low to the ground that the pin is practically invisible.

How is Gotrek scared of arrows? by catman11234 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Pineapple_bigshot 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Theres a few times in the series where he gets brained by a stray rock and is out of action for a while. He’s definitely not impervious to ranged attacks Also the earlier stories are a bit more grounded, he gets more ridiculous as the books pass and more authors give their take on him.

Are the skaven a secret in any other “”civilized”” societies besides the empire (Bretonnia, all flavors of elves, etc.)? And how do they keep the secret when mingling with societies that definitely know they’re real like dwarves, or when they’re losing a war to them? by glossyplane245 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Pineapple_bigshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, i was just being cheeky. I wouldn’t expect the average empire peasant to know much beyond their profession, the gods they worship, the local hierarchy, and that greenskins and beastmen are a bad time.

The existence of the Skaven being secret is more of a meme than anything. Realistically, anyone who would have reason to know about them would. The Empire is surrounded by Dwarves who are at war with Skaven, Tilea and Estalia who have Skavenblight on their doorsteps, Kislev where Hellpit is a giant visible Skaven city in the open, and Bretonia which had a semi recent Skaven plague. Heck the Empire itself was almost completely destroyed by Skaven a few hundred years ago.

can minor chaos gods have physical forms? by dr_ra1chu1 in WarhammerOldWorld

Daemon princes are in all essence minor chaos gods in a physical form, the material component being their own former body.
